  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah I see no reason to trade him with these returns.
  3. If they trade Robert, who the heck is their entire OF? Suddenly they’re counting on Baldwin to anchor an incredibly poor group. Do you really want to Hill and Pereira every day?
  4. The Mets should be able to put together a prospect package to rival this with position players. If the Reds package is accurate, it is very Frozen in that it is totally Fixer Uppers.
  5. Could you get Watson (2nd round prep) and their comp pick?
  6. I really love this aspect of the signing, can never underestimate how these signings can create new fans and renew old bonds:
  7. I would think of the comp pick being the value in a petty + comp
  8. If the Sox are willing to eat half or more of his salary and want pitching then get David Stearns back on the phone
  9. Go look at Baltimore’s return for Mullens at the deadline. Those were the Robert offers before. Basically nothing. This is much better

  11. I’ve got newborn dad brain going so too lazy and tired to do it myself. Do Jonathan Cannon and Davis Martin next lol
  12. Throws 100 with a decent cutter. No good third pitch and has struggled a bit in AAA and majors.
  13. It's worth more to the White Sox NOT to get buried again in April ... playing Hill a lot in CF would do the trick, probably.
  14. Is Chase Petty considered semi interesting? I don’t really know. I’d target Hector Rodriguez if they are trading with the Reds.
  15. Greenberg is all over sports media/biz side AND yet terrible with sports analysis/insight on "big picture" team strategy.
  16. If you can't be bothered to know enough about the team you're covering to write such an obvious misinterpretation of a FA signing -- I can't be bothered to read your article. Mune is gonna have an Area 51 like runway to take off or crash here: and that's exactly why it makes a ton of sense for both sides, at this price tag, at this junction.
  17. Not if there is something at least semi-interesting (a former top prospect or two who has struggled or coming off TJ surgery or something) being offered. You can certainly do worse than that later.
  18. Well his value is so low at this point anyway that they don’t have anything to lose by rolling the dice again.
  19. “We haven’t had a guy of this caliber. Not to this popularity,” White Sox executive vice president, chief revenue/marketing officer Brooks Boyer told MLB.com. “Those guys were 20 years ago, well before how you distribute information, how instant information can go: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, whatever platform you want. You can get information and highlights to people across the world instantaneously. “It’s a great opportunity for us to be able to market internationally, to grow the White Sox brand internationally and to help him and some of his teammates with growing their individual brands. That’s something we look forward to on the business side." mlb.com merkin
  20. You put Sosa in Cincy and he’s a 30 homer 2nd baseman

  22. Ah yes I'm sure Robert will undoubtedly last even a half a season with his track record...
  23. Count me in as another person done with the Robert era. I’m over gambling on the resurgence and don’t want to be left holding the bag of just paying him to continue to be bad on a bad team. Get what you can and continue to turn the page of the dreadful past few years of this organization. Jerry needs to not be Jerry and eat $ to maximize the return though
  24. What is Sosa's value? He has no position and is a league average hitter
