  1. Past hour

  2. This should be a damn good World Series with 2 excellent teams, go Rays.
  3. Today

  4. Wonder which pitcher was second lol?
  5. Meanwhile, BP's Jarrett Seidler is ranking all 30 front offices, and placed the White Sox 19th, but what he considered a surprising showing was based on the strength of their pro acquisition. When it comes to drafting and developing, they're in better shape than they used to be, but still not generating stars.
  6. "Let me have what he's drinking, I want to get loaded too..." - Ralph Kramden.
  7. https://www.mlb.com/news/brewers-vs-rays-world-series-preview It's the third straight year and fourth in the past five that the Guardians failed to get past the ALCS. They've had seven tries in the postseason to reach the World Series since their last appearance in 2016. They've fallen short each time.
  8. "He (Freddy Peralta) said, 'I always feel comfortable pitching out of the stretch,'" Moncada said of Peralta. "So we were like, 'Go with what makes you most comfortable,' and he went back." This simple change for Peralta has clearly helped, as he's turned the corner for the Rays since making this change. But that's not all that the Rays did to fix Peralta. "From there, the Rays instituted further modifications," Castillo writes. "They had Peralta move to the third base side of the rubber and widen his stance. They told him to speed up his delivery. They gave him a drill package to incorporate into his preparation to generate more strength from his legs (which led to an additional two inches of extension and an increase of 2-3 mph with his velo)." All of those changes, from the adjustments on the mound to his changes when he's off of it, have culminated in quite the mid-season turnaround from Peralta. yahoo.com/sports
  9. LMFAO. Are you a Cub fan ?
  10. Their World Series title drought stretches to 79 years. Amazingly, they're now only 9 years away from matching the White Sox 88-year drought between 1917 and 2005. The Brewers and Padres (1969 expansion franchises, never won the WS) have the next longest droughts...and of course, the Brewers could end their wait by the end of this month.
  11. Who in the hell makes these weirdball AI videos? 🤣 https://www.tt.site/t/ZTfM2TLpm/
  12. Rays win their 3rd AL pennant since they became a team in 1998. To put that in perspective, looking at the last 3 Sox pennants takes us all the way back to 1919.
  13. I think just getting him off a terrible Mets team was huge. Their defense was awful
  14. they are good at it...... so few are. They don't trade due to a losing season
  15. I doubt it. Fact remains much of the team was built from the the outside, not the inside which he was part of before being GM. One can be lucky. I doubt he would make a top 10 list.
  16. I want to add that Peralta was just named the MVP of the ALDS.
  17. Arozarena attending this game is kind of funny. There's just no way the Rays spend the money needed to sign him, but he clearly wants to go back.
  18. Peralta needed some fixing. I'm not sure the Sox would be the team to get the most out of him. But, there's no way he would have been as bad as Castillo. The Sox just needed another functioning starter to get past the Guardians.
  19. Just happy Cleveland and LA are out. Can careless who wins between Rays and Brewers. Both teams are A ok in my book.
  20. Freddy Peralta is the ALCS MVP. Jeez, must be nice to have your trade deadline pick up contribute like that.
  21. Rays get Peralta, and he wins the deciding game against the Guardians, with a post season record of 3-0 and 0.67 ERA. Whereas the Sox got Castillo instead, with no wins and 8.64 ERA. IF Getz would have swung a trade for Peralta, Sox would be going to the World Series IMO. That is why I don’t support Getz for Executive of the Year.
  22. Should be a great World Series. I'll take Brewers in 7.
  23. Why is this World Series discussion in the Future Sox Forum?
  24. Two orgs hunting their first WS too, fun matchup Their payrolls will definitely be cited in the CBA talks
  25. That and they tried to copy the White Sox opener/pen approach two consecutive series (minus Gavin Williams) yay for Dick Vitale haha
