  1. Past hour

  2. Burke for 6, Castillo for 3. Score 6 runs and hope that’s enough. In other words, hope Burke gives up 1 at the most.
  3. 6-13 streak overall
  4. Who's available in the bullpen: Castillo Richards Schultz Doesn't inspire confidence.
  5. Sorry boys, I love what this team has done this year but last night was the death blow. The bullpen is pretty much dead. The only recipe I see is that Burke picthrs six or seven Innings today. And you will have to rely on guys like Castillo to finish out the game. Thats if you have a lead. If im will V I do not pitch Newcomb, Hudson, Smith, taylor, until Tuesday....they have nothing left right now.
  6. The White Sox needed to just not be awful in September. They are 5 -12. But they are also still 1+ up in the wild card with bad teams left on the schedule. Cmon boys you can get there
  7. I don't understand why they never brought up Thorpe. He pitched pretty well in his starts. He would at least be able to provide some bulk innings in a reliever role. You can tell the bullpen is out of gas. Having no reliever help in Charlotte to call up is on Getz and Bannister.
  8. With the rain today and Detroit already scheduled on Monday we could be looking at a double header on Sunday, Possible overnight roster moves with callups ?
  9. Is there anyone left in the Charlotte( or even Birmingham) bullpen that could perhaps improve a worn out bullpen down the stretch???
  10. That's the spirit!!
  11. It was a matter of time until they ran out of gas. Especially with the pitching. Still a young team that can be improved upon for next year.
  12. Castillo is likely toast. Unless he blows out his elbow completely and comes back in 2028 throwing 97-99 at the age of 36
  13. Today

  14. Blyleven? Wilhelm? maybe the majority were players who had major injuries and had to totally reinvent their approaches away from fb dominance glavine smoltz maddux Chris Sale stands out here at present
  15. In the words of a broken heart It's just emotion that's taking me over Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
  16. Now how many of those guys improved remarkably after age 34?
  17. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/leaders_40_pitch_career-after.shtml Jamie Moyer Tommy John knuckleballers there was another lhp who made it to 42-43 recently pitched for about half the teams in baseball MLB Players Who Defied Father Time into Their 40sIn baseball, age isn't just a number. It's the thing that catches up to every player, including the great ones. Sometimes, though, guys manage to defy Father Time longer than most...
  18. LOL. Chris Getz might win executive of the year. These posts are both fucking insane. I expect this nonsense from the 20 somethings on twitter who would've evaporated into dust during the 2005 collapse but not from veteran posters. This team being .500 this year is a damn miracle.
  19. Wore down on Thursday...started walking people.
  20. Any update on Peters?
  21. It's funny, they are now playing like many of us expected them to play the entirw season.
  22. Baseball is death. But baseball is also life!
  23. Maybe me no longer believing will reverse this.
  24. Hagen Smith usually goes multiple innings. Any reason why he didn’t last night. I see from the box score he struck out the side his one inning.
