I'm not saying to have those 2 guys split DHing duties. I'm saying don't have a DH only player on the roster so you can use it to get more RH or LH bats in the lineup, rotate off days from all the IF to keep guys fresh, etc.

Unless his injury turns out to be season-ending and they 60-day IL him. I do feel like he's a non-tender candidate this off-season and was going to be DFA'd by Atlanta to make room for Murphy before we traded our DFA guy for him so I do feel like he's an option to be DFA'd as well.

Really want to see Castillo shove again and Doyle take one yard. Rogers providing a boost would be gravy. We all know what we have with our general roster — The more we get from our acquisitions, the better we can feel in the immediate and looking down the line. OK So added Urquiddy , Rogers, Brazoban, Castillo, Doyle, Hagen Smith , Joey Bart all to the 40 . Bart, Keel,Chris Murphy and Davis Martin are all IL so still on 40 but not 26. DFA Wikleman Gonzalez and Joe Rock off the 40 . DFA Hays & Pereira off the 40. Davitt DFA to make room for Doyle but then traded for Bart. Eisert & Jacob Gonzalez traded for MiLB Pitcher and draft pick. Now I'm dizzier than I was before 7 newest additions and 7 gone.🤣Aah crap forgot about Dominquez . I'm unbalanced again.

It’s absurd to propose bringing Rich and Bonemer up and having them split time at DH “until they prove they can hit.” That would be the most ridiculous way to handle the development of our two top positional prospects.

Lengthier sponsorship deals with Japanese companies would skyrocket if the Sox had Mune for another 8 years instead of just 2. You want a piece then commit to sponsoring for 8 more years because the line will be long. It's the only thing that gives me hope that he can be re-signed. Mune taking full advantage of his popularity and stats though makes me think he could leave.

Assuming the guys in the minors will pan out. That will be determined in the thinking. I know Colson is not there yet, but neither Colson Vargas wouldn’t have much leverage in this situation to talk about contracts any time soon (or even later). Unless Cholowski and Bonemer crater. And Vargas’value might be pretty high on the trade market going forward. Would this winter be too soon to trade Vargas, yeah I agree, probably. Hopefully he retained his value through the trade deadline when we know more.

Nothing needs to happen until Roch and/or Caleb force one of the current guys out of the lineup and cheap controllable depth is a good thing. I also need to see Roch at a big league level play as good or better a SS as Colson does before I'm moving Colson's elite glove from SS.That 5-9 is ugly.I don't think it ends up happening unless Vargas takes some kind of discount.
