  1. I would remind you that 3 stars were all out, injured after 10 games, and 3 other veteran hitters were OPSing their credit scores, but that would require the Admins to shut down the string while they clear off all of my patient, intelligent corrections of all of your melt-downs.
  2. Funny when a guy who last saw his pecker in the flesh during the first Obama administration mocks actual athletes in a slump. You complained about everything, you didn't predict anything. Big difference.
  3. Says the guy who can finally file his own EZ tax form due to the ad revenue I'm generating off of clicks. You could just say thank you.
  4. I'm there. Was always a Lenyn fan, but yeah, he's had 3 shots, and hasn't taken the opportunity and done anything with it. He's AAAA filler.
  5. Being a white dude in America, I feel compelled to say, "I'm sorry you go through that." I haven't been since 2001. Work meetings.
  6. I'm learning to respect everybody else's right to be foolishly wrong.
  7. I believe Ted Turner tried that, once. The league shut that right down before the first game.
  8. That's the coolest thing about Minnesota. There's really nothing to do during the day other than walk around the skyway, and you keep running into players.
  9. I could see this lineup getting the Sox back on the "win 2 a week" track: RF - Grossman C - Lee DH - Jimenez 1B - Sheets 3B - Mendick SS - DeJong LF - Pham CF - Fletcher 2B - Lopez
  10. Joey Reinsdorf was taken in the same draft class (40th round). He was developed into a fine Investment Advisor. https://www.linkedin.com/in/josephreinsdorf/
  11. Oh, jeez. Of course, the only right answer is to unceremoniously fire Grifol, and have a three week, in season managerial search. Bring in Buck Showalter, a couple other big names. Then hype the reveal after the top of the 5th inning of some game, and the new manager turns out to be........... PEDRO GRIFOL!!!!! We were right all along!!!!
  12. 22nd rounder. Get AJ Pierzynski on the horn. Add in Adam Engel, and there's two late rounders developed in house.
  13. No article, just rankings listicle. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2024/04/22/mlb-power-rankings-chicago-white-sox-standings/73405256007/
  14. I found this at bat pretty remarkable. Vaughn doesn't even scare pitchers with the possibility that he might punish something in the zone.
  15. I'm not even sure what you're arguing. Calling everybody on the team garbage doesn't make you prescient when a guy whose career OPS is .721 goes into a 20-game slump. Here, watch this, "crazy s%*# is going to happen this week!" So when we go over the news stories of this next week, I get to pretend I predicted all of them, right? LOL. I said that I liked the bullpen, and thought where he was going with the starting rotation was interesting. Don't bother looking for my posts where I rave on about DeJong and all, because they only exist in your head. I've become a meme because I'm one of the few who isn't constantly enraged over a baseball team that was supposed to be bad. If you predicted every single shutout, and knew what everyone's batting average would be on 4/21, why does it make you so angry?
  16. Spring training was about 20 games. You know, a small sample size. You didn't tell me players wouldn't pan out. You complained about every single move, so you have no credibility on the subset of things you complained about that actually came true. Every team constantly sets records. I'm not concerned. Well, 12% of a season doesn't make it "historically bad". It's really weird that the Baltimore guys who came here didn't tell us about their suicide attempts during that 0-23 season opening losing streak that was, uh, historical. Nobody cares. I'm glad you have something to occupy your mind. As far as "excusing Getz", I'm not sure what is in the hopper. We've already covered that all three of Moncada, Jimenez and Robert going down at the same time was a statistical anomaly. In the last 4 years, all three have been injured at the same time for only 11 games, total, so I don't think anyone could say they "predicted" all three would be sidelined at the same time in the first 10 games, as much as they want to pretend they did. And then you're talking about two other pro hitters just falling off the table for 20 game slumps they've never had in their careers. So if you're talking about pretzel shapes, I guess I'm in "pretzel rods" shape. Not really twisted, still saying the same thing I said all year, wondering why your head is sticking out from under your knee. If you call "waiting to see how it turns out" as "excusing", I don't understand that framing. If you hate this team, you can always start a Chicago Hot Dogs blog. I hear they're a baseball team.
  17. That's how ridiculous small sample sizes look.
  18. Also on pace to score 710 runs the rest of the way.
