Not pressing the panic button after nine games or anything, but losing four in a row during this allegedly soft part of the schedule isn't good.

Baltimore really hasn't been setting the world on fire with their start to the season. I hope the Sox can keep feeling the momentum.

I think Vientos is a lesser Sosa. Vientos is not a good defender anywhere, really. Vargas is separating himself from that profile.

Getz also traded cash for Tristan Peters, and Steven Wilson & Yoendrys Gomez for Pereira and Tanner Murray.

He probably tried to run "The Canaryville Castro Commet" by HR for a Vargas nickname, and they told him to just stay home.

I really didn't have a problem with Kay. If he could get through 5 against teams like the Blue Jays just giving up a couple, that gets the job done. He was getting hit hard a bunch, tho. If this is who Vargas is, that trade was an absolute steal. Nice series win. The Sox always play the Jays tough, but this is a sweet surprise after that opening week.

Pereira and Quero are probably achy, is all. While I think Acuña should get run out in CF every day until Baldwin comes back, I've heard it said that he's probably the best SS on the team.
