  1. He almost certainly will be with the Sox at some point next year as a backup IFer. He's not a starting position player but he should be on the roster fairly soon.
  2. Nice job Colson!
  3. Braden with another double.
  4. Reward him by giving him a taste of High A.
  5. A positive Lip Man post Im framing this. Hagen Smith will pitch three or four complete games with ZERO walks before I see this again.
  6. I'd be shocked if Braden was in Chicago in May. He needs to maintain his performance for more than a month and when his BABIP normalizes. He also needs to get that K rate down and then he'll need some time in AAA. He could definitely be in Chicago by this time next year though. There's alot to be excited about, but he still needs time.
  7. Very encouraged by Hagen cutting down on walks while maintaining strikeouts. Braden adding more plate discipline is great Puzzled as to why they haven't promoted Bonemer.
  8. Very encouraging start in AA for Braden, although his BABIP is super high. I'm interested to see what his numbers will look like when it normalizes a little. Still, he's made tremendous progress from just a couple weeks ago when he was striking out a ton when he first got promoted to AA. He should be in Chicago hopefully by this time next year.
  9. Montgomery HR/FB rate is 23% (that may not include today's bomb). Lol
  10. Ahh good point I forgot about that. We certainly don't want CM to turn into Cody Asche.
  11. Dear Mods, Please create a 9th rep smilie with Montgomery's picture and call it "Savage" Thank you for your consideration.
  12. His game power looks more like 70 than 55.
  13. We will lose a year of service time.
  14. They obviously have some adjustments they want him to work on and get comfortable with in a low stress environment. Hopefully by ST he can lock down a starting spot with the big club.
  15. Nice....this is a huge jump for him and the first few days have reflected that but hopefully he can start to adjust a little bit in the next few weeks.
  16. And if Mead matches his 2026 and 2027 current Zips projections, we will all be uniformly thrilled.
  17. I think they will certainly spend some but I don't think JR wants any long term deals past the CBA and it's hard to sign good players on 1 or 2 year deals unless they are coming off a bad year and are willing to sign a 1 yr prove it type deal.
  18. Vargas is head and shoulders better now than when he first got here. He has a shot at 20 HRs this season. There are some things on his swing he still needs to work on but he has the look of a solid 2 WAR player with a bit more consistency.
  19. Not a bad return here. We will see what Fuller can do with Mead. The arms also seem interesting.
  20. MIN is just trying to dump as much financial liabilities as they can.
  21. If he is still on the roster as of the deadline, then it means they got the OK to pick it up.
