  1. Eisert recently got some good press. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/2025-mlb-trade-deadline-four-under-the-radar-candidates-to-move-including-dodgers-prospect-brewers-hitter/
  2. Throw in Houser and a RP also (not Taylor) s and NYM can also add in Clifford as well, as @Chicago White Sox mentioned. To NYM: Robert (salary retention, not that Cohen cares too much), Houser, any reliever not named Grant Taylor To CWS: OF AJ Ewing, OF Drew Gilbert, DH/1B/OF Ryan Clifford Who says no?
  3. If the NYM really do love Robert like Bob says, we should be able to get both. Its not like either are in their top 5. They are both around 10 or so. Ewing seems to be the type of player Getz loves. I've seen his speed rated anywhere from 55 to 70 and he has very good plate discipline. He also has like 55 steals or something absurd like that this year. If we could get both Gilbert and Ewing that would be a really good return considering how Robert has played for most of the year. @fathom what was the NYM offer last week?
  4. Gilbert wouldn't be a bad headliner even though his star has dimmed a bit after his hamstring injury. If he can stick in center that would be solid. Maybe also get Ewing too who would be a surefire CF. I would be excited about that package considering how Robert has been for most of the year.
  5. We'd be buying low...which makes it more realistic since Robert's value is also lower. Wasn't the FO rumored to be interested in Petty previously? Considering Schultz and Hagen may require more refinement in the minors and Taylor is now in the pen, we may need another SP.
  6. Lol. Now that we don't need a SS (Colson looks like he can hold down the fort for a couple years until Carlson is here) and since Arroyo is still struggling in AA, I would take Chase Petty from CIN for Robert since the latter is heating up.
  7. I totally expect the pen to blow it in the bottom of the 9th. Hope I'm wrong

  9. According to an article in The Athletic, two clubs made "aggressive" attempts last week to secure Robert but we held back wanting better prospects. It was noted that league sources expect the market to heat up for him if he continues to hit and if not its possible we might keep him due to low payroll. I wonder what kind of offers were made and by whom. We sure could use a good CF prospect close to the majors.
  10. Because JR isn't going to pay 20 million for a 200 hitter when the whole budget is likely to be at or south of 100m.
  11. That's not a good sign...their prospect pool is not great in terms of fits (De Vries and a few others I'm sure are off the table). I'd much rather have PHI or NYM be the leaders. And our transactions with Preller have been... suboptimal.
  12. Yeah there's almost zero chance of that happening. At 20M salary, even a 3 WAR player would produce no surplus value for trade purposes later. Even at 4 WAR, you're only getting about 8m in SV which won't get you a ton so holding on to him makes no sense unless Ishbia is going to put in cash towards the player budget and they will actually try to sign players and win games next year.
  13. If Jimmy is retweeting that he must be hearing some kind of decent offers for Robert too. Let's here it @Y2Jimmy0
  14. This would be outstanding but unless PHI strikes out on others I doubt it, despite how much I want it to be true. Dombrowski might want us to throw in Taylor too.
  15. LOL....he put his dick in a blender and pressed the on button on that one. Hopefully he isn't as much of a dumbfuck on other player evaluations.
  16. I wouldn't be spooked by anything Barfield says. Keep in mind he kept running his mouth before the Cease trade saying "we don't have to move him, we have the leverage" and all this BS and they blinked even though SD made a mediocre offer. He's just a media mouthpiece to try and create the impression that they wont settle for scraps. I see no reason why they would keep Slater, Wilson, Eisert, Robert, Houser. Tauchman they might need as a productive but cheap starter in 2026 since Braden might not be here until late, 2026 and even then will be an adjustment period.
  17. Bowden suggests strong market exists for Robert despite his stats.
  18. Robert is heating up...give me Crawford now Dombrowski.
  19. His ERA was like 1.5 but FIP was in the 3s, so there was bound to be regression.
  20. I wonder if you put Houser, Tauchman and Wilson together whether we could get Caissie from the Cubs?
  21. Maybe we could get a halfway decent return after all if he can keep it up a little more
  22. He needs to have a really good 2 weeks, send him to PHI with a good reliever and maybe something else (and cash retained) and try to get Crawford.
