Crosstown Series Game One--6:40 CT
As presently constituted, the Cubs are fielding a better lineup than the White Sox. It should be a tough two game series for the Sox. Hopefully, the Sox will be able to win one of the two games.

GAMETHREAD 4/28/22: KC Royals at ChiSox (Keller vs Kopech) 1:10 pm CDT
Before yesterday, the Sox had a shot at a 156 loss season. Well, they still could lose 155.

Vaughn/Burger could see 2B
How about Vaughn for left field? Is there any significant drop-off in offensive and/or defensive quality of play going from Jimenez to Vaughn? I'm beginning to think Jimenez isn't the player most of us thought he would be. I'm not just talking about the fragility of Jimenez.

Promotional Giveaway Days
The White Sox did that last year when they gave away Madrigal.

Eloy Out 6-8 Weeks
When healthy, Jimenez can be the DH and he can have a DR. (Designated Runner)

Sox @ Twins
Anyone know what Shingo's up to these days?

Sox @ Twins
This current team can't pitch, hit or field. Other than than they're OK.

What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?
Disliking this team more and more each day. It's not because they're nasty creeps, there are other reasons. I have been a White Sox fan for a LONG time, and I've never seen a more injury-prone group of players in all those years. They're like delicate porcelain figurines. Couple that with a mediocre to poor defense, questionable starters, a shaky bullpen and a badly unbalanced lineup of right handed hitting DH types. I've never liked TLR even back in the 1980's. He's arrogant and out of touch. I still want this team to succeed, but it's difficult watching this mess day-to-day.

TLR 2022 Thread
I would have started my B team against Bieber since it was a likely loss even starting the A team. I would have started the A team in the 2nd game against a lesser pitcher. But, then I'm logical.

How Concerned Should We Be?
The 2-5 hitters, Robert, Abreu, Grandal and Jimenez are hitting a robust .182 combined. With Giolito and Lynn out and the core of the lineup having miserable seasons so far, it's surprising the White Sox have won any games at all.
-
Early Thoughts
One of my early thoughts is why does Grandal make $18.25M?
-
Are you in favor of Moncada to 2B?
Actually, like most White Sox fans, I'm in favor of Madrigal at second base. Unfortunately, that gift to the Cubs will live on in White Sox history.
-
Early Thoughts
The core 2-5 hitters, Robert, Abreu, Grandal and Jimenez are hitting a lusty .198 combined. It's surprising the Sox are 6-3 with these players doing so poorly offensively.

2022 White Sox wins prediction thread
83-79, first or second in ALC. Probably second behind Detroit.

OF Help at last!! White Sox acquire Haseley from Phils
Rutherford redux.

When (or if) the lockout ends, Carlos Rodon should top the Sox list of signings
Rodon is too fragile physically to sign for big money.

5 year anniversary of the start of the rebuild
It's been five years and it's still too early to tell if it was a good trade for the White Sox. Moncada has been okay, but nothing like his advance billing. Diaz and Basabe, nothing. Kopech is the obvious wild card. If he develops into the stud starter that many still believe is possible, then it will have been a real good trade of Sale.

The Second Base Options (as it stands)
How about Tadahito Iguchi? He turns 47 today. He may still be young enough.

White Sox sign Leury Garcia to 3 year deal
From my sources, I'm hearing Leury Garcia will be the starting right fielder and the White Sox management is seeking Gordon Beckham to come out of retirement to start at second. It would save a lot of money.
-
White Sox sign Leury Garcia to 3 year deal
Why spend a lot of money on a good player when you can sign an inexpensive mediocrity like Garcia?
-
Robbie Ray to the Mariners, 5 years $115 million
Maybe, the White Sox can sign Jeff Samardzija.

Where could Kimbrel be traded, and for what?
Obviously, the White Sox can't get anything in return in a trade of Kimbrel. The question is, if the Sox pay his entire salary, will any team accept Kimbrel as a gift. That's doubtful.

Sox open 2022 at 12:1
It's strange to me that the White Sox have better odds than Boston, Tampa Bay, Milwaukee, Toronto and San Francisco.
