Sox looking at building in South Loop
Agree 100%. But you can be pissed as hell that JR poisoned your lifetime commitment. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
It is. Which is why people will argue tooth and nail for a well-run organization. This thread would be 2 pages if people didn’t care.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
Think about what that says about how a lot of people feel about this organization. Think about what is driving those feelings, that they’re that crazy. It’s THAT bad.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
Since “big, modern thinking”, “private funding”, and “Jerry Reinsdorf” typically aren’t used in the same conversation, I’ve been trying figure the motive behind this. I know zip about estate law, but there’s been a lot of discussion (including from JR himself) about how he does/doesn’t want to pass things on to his kids. Is there any estate benefits to putting his money into this?

Grifol: 'If you don't like the lineups, talk to Jerry.'
Alternate take (not saying I’m right): Right now Pedro is like “I can’t believe how F’d up this organization is. What did I get myself into?!?! You don’t like it, talk to the Morons above me!!!” I don’t know about all of you, but I’ve been there in a job. Maybe someday we’ll know.

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
I think people should be using more “Golly gee whiz” in common parlance. Highly underrated. Right up there with “punkin’ head”.

What is rock bottom for this FO? What what would need to happen for a shakeup at the top?
There’s rock bottom. Then there’s the stuff stuck to the underside of those rocks. And then there’s whatever this organization is.

White Sox share plans for new 500-level bars
As a professional designer, my opinion: TOTAL lack of vision REALLY weak execution absolutely AWFUL presentation If I showed my clients something like this I’d be fired. I shared this with my daughter who is an interior designer that works on major architectural projects and she agreed. I’m still contending that someone in the org had their 16 year old kid do this because they knew how to use some free rendering software. Completely unprofessional work.
