  1. QUOTE(fathom @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) According to MLB.com, Mark Prior reinjured himself in the brawl, and he's going to be out another month. Now THAT's funny! The injury occurred when Prior threw a punch and his right arm fell off. "We expect him to miss a start, maybe two, dude", said Dusty Baker.
  2. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) So...after all this, what do y'all think we can expect from Zambrano tomorrow? A lot of jock-shifting, pointing at the sky, yelling at his teammates when he doesn't think they're making the plays, talking to himself, showing up hitters and umpires..... Did I miss anything?
  3. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) Somebody needs to make an avatar or sig of Barrett lying on his back after AJ plows him over. Yeah, the Barrett Backroll was nice to see.
  4. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) Sorry if it was already posted but what was Anderson's and Marby's role in the fight since I only say AJ get hit by Barrett Mabry ran in to the scrum looking for trouble, BA threw a wild right at him, and then down they went in a heap.
  5. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) Then they need to review the rule book and get their eyes checked. Also need to rule on the situation, and not who was involved in the situation.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) This would be huge for Garcia to hold down the Cubs, and get us up to the plate again. No way, he'd get immediately tossed. AJP got tossed, as did Anderson. AJP getting tossed is more reputation than anything else. Exactly right. AJ had no hand in that fight. He knocked that imbecile down cleanly and got punched. Ridiculous that he got thrown. And so much for "bringing the Cubs together and/or igniting them". Gone 1,2,3 VERY weakly in the 3rd.
  7. Beat them up, then beat them!! Haaaaa!!!! What a weird inning!!
  8. Which team does DJ broadcast for again? He's making SO MANY excuses for Barrett's behavior. AJ ran him down CLEAN and took a suckerpunch. That's ALL he did.
  9. WHAT????? f***ing blind asshole umpires! Barrett HAS to get tossed. OK, good, finally.
  10. What the f*** is DJ talking about? Barrett was still rolling backwards when AJ slapped the plate. Barrett is just a f***ing cheap-shot pussy.
  11. WOW Enjoy your suspension, Barrett, you douche.
  12. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 20, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) If the NHL ever wants to get interest for hockey in the nations 3rd-largest market, they should give Chicago a 2nd franchise. I mean, WTF is w/ New York having 3?? They need to give Chicago a FIRST real NHL franchise before they can give us a second. I only wish there was some "for the good of the game" rule they could enforce to make Wirthless sell the team.
  13. Maybe Foley can call games that actually have people watching and listening now. Unless he goes to OLN, where he'll still call games for the walls of the building. That wasn't a contract withdrawal, that was a release from Sports Purgitory. The Blackhawks would have to GAIN public interest just to be called irrelevant.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 19, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) OK, I'm wondering who you guys prefer on both TV and radio. This should get some discussion. I also threw Molina on there because I know some of you guys speak some Spanish too, and I didn't know if anyone listened on WRTO. I voted for Molina because I think Farmer and Singleton both stink out loud.
  15. Alcohol can be your friend, or it can be your enemy. Pretty stupid of that douche to get ejected before the game even started.
  16. While I believe Maddux was a great pitcher and is still a very good one, he got a LOT of favors from home-plate umpires over the years. Never saw him complain that a called strike was actually 3 inches outside, so he really shouldn't complain now. I think Dan Plesac nailed it when he mentioned that Maddux losing a couple MPH off his fastball has lessened the difference between his fastball and his change, so if his location and movement aren't perfect he's very hittable.
  17. Happy Birthday, you old glammy, you!!!
  18. Nope. I'll be at Wednesday's game. Enjoy the Core Of The Rotten-To-The-Core Party!!
  19. He probably cheated to even get near that record....
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:34 AM) I'm very relieved Coop is receiving an extension. He is the man. Agreed. The Don needs to stick around. Besides being a damn good pitching coach, I absolutely LOVE to hear him interviewed!!! He's very funny, level-headed and has that TREMENDOUS accent!!!! THE DON!!!! QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) that was big Art I believe. Yep, that was Hard Art aka Caveman aka Cave.
  21. (viewing the photo, eyes moving left to right) "Awwwwwwwwww..............ACK!!!!!!"
  22. 70s - Dick Allen, Wilbur Wood 80s - Ivan Calderon, Greg Luzinski 90s - Frank Thomas, Mike Sirotka 00s - Paul Konerko, AJ Pierzynski ( it's a bit too soon for Jim Thome )
  23. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 17, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) I'm in the weird group who thinks the best Sabbath was the Dio era. Mob Rules is both a great album, and a great song. Ozzy era was boring for the most part. I know if I was paying attention during those early years of Sab I would have a different feeling. But for me, both parts put out their best at the same time, just not together. Sab with Dio, Ozzy with Randy. The Supersuckers' cover/parody "Your Mom Rules" is great. I don't like Black Sabbath, never did. Solo Ozzy has about 4 or 5 good songs.
  24. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ May 11, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) What happened to Fuel's previous lead singer? Threadjack Update: Brett Scallions, Fuel's former lead singer, is now playing bass for two bands, The X's and Circus Diablo ( with Billy Duffy from The Cult on guitar ). Rumor has it that Brett's voice is shot, but he strongly denies this. He had surgery to correct a deviated septum, but the things I've seen online indicate that this type of surgery would not damage the pitch or strength of a singing voice. Anyway, that's why the opening is there in Fuel, but no official word on whether that Chris guy has accepted the spot.
