  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 8, 2006 -> 07:51 AM) Thinking about going to see 'Elefant' tomorrow night at Metro. Why not, it's only $13.00 and I have no other plans. One problem, the show is 18 and over. :puke Well, it IS a school night, and you need your rest, young man.....

    Righty? Lefty?

Hit left, throw a baseball right (but can throw left), bowl left (but can bowl right), throw a football left, kick a soccer ball left, write right (but can kind of write left), drive on left side of road. So I'm sort of amphibious.....
  3. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/05/0...reut/index.html that everything goes well for Keef. Never a big fan of the Stones, but that hardly matters. He seems like a good enough guy, and I did enjoy his solo album a while back. EDIT to clarify - he already had the surgery, and is now recuperating. Reading is a skill, and it's one I hope to master soon.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 7, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Cintron makes that play i bet. Maybe Alex charges that ball, but if he doesn't he just doesn't have Juan's cannon of an arm.
  5. Cintron doesn't make that play.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) That was actually a real good pitch especially because he had been throwing him all breaking balls. Joe is just good, real good. Yeah, pretty obvious they were trying to set up the in-tight fastball to jam him. Elmer just didn't make the pitch, plus the fact that Joe bears down like a maniac in that situation.
  7. "Don't they know Joe Crede LIVES for these moments???" Awesome.
  8. Uh-oh. C'mon, Mac, regroup and get this guy.
  9. Can Pablo play RF? I think Rob Mack needs a couple days' worth of sit-down.
  10. BAD bunt by Iguchi. Ah well, at least their lead is gone.
  11. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 6, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) That's not true. They boo all the time. At least that's what I've seen when watching the games on the idiot box Their real fans boo and then the "drunken frat boys and trixies" just boo because everyone else is. Half the time when they show the crows, they're laughing as they boo.
  12. If it's more comfortable for them, I have no problem with the helmet. I don't have to wear it, and if I was in a position to have to wear it (being on a MLB roster), I'd be too happy to care.
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) Never hit a homerun again, AJ. His homers will come, but I'm very happy with AJ's approach right now.
  14. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 6, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) He strikes out a lot but he also hits a lot. He's a good example of why strikeouts by batters aren't all that bad. I think the Ks come with the territory. Iguchi needs to take pitches when Pods is in a position to steal, and he also has to try to hit to the right side to advance him. Giving away strikes like he is asked to do causes him to have fewer opportunities to swing away, thus causing a few more Ks.
  15. Have I mentioned that I think Jim Thome is real good?
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 5, 2006 -> 11:18 PM) Juan Pierre has a f***ing cannon, did you see him nearly nail Greene at the plate!?!?!?!?! Some things don't need the green.
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 6, 2006 -> 09:15 AM) Myself with two lucky Sox fans: Now I know where Randy Orton's been during his suspension from WWE....
  18. The real reasons are much easier to figure out: They don't spend their money wisely. Their two "marquee" pitchers are always injured, but never SO injured that they give up on them and look for two new pitchers. Their manager is a substitute teacher who never holds them accountable for bad play and makes excuses for them. Their fans hold no expectations of them, and fill the ballpark no matter what the W-L record.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) I wonder how many people are wishing we still had Luis Vizcaino. I was SO happy when the Sox got him, then he eventually made me cringe when he came in, then he only came in when the game was no longer in question, and then he was gone. I wish the Sox had reliable bullpen arms, but I don't wish for Luis' return.
  20. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ May 5, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) Joe for 4......wasnt that Crede's name before all-star break last year? No, that was Crediocre or Joe Cruddy. Get it right.
  21. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 5, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) Archer and California in Brighton Park. Similar to Home Run Inn without being overpriced. Or quite as greasy. That's my main gripe with Home Run Inn.
  22. Lou's is my choice. To me, there's no better deep dish to be had. The buttercrust spinach and mushroom is cheesy, artery-blocking heaven.
  23. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 5, 2006 -> 10:17 AM) I'm almost positive that PK hasn't sat yet, and Thome's sat just once. Do you guys think it's too risky to flip-flop PK and JT once in a while? Should they risk running Jim out to 1B? I know he takes grounders there during BP, and I don't think he'll embarrass anyone out there. Just wondering what you guys think - I really can't decide if the safer route of having him be a pure DH is the best option or not.
  24. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 5, 2006 -> 11:51 AM) LMFAO! I guess you couldn't Gage the security patch, so you just Gaged the game thread instead. God I [heart] Soxtalk Some suggestions for future Gage game threads, to avoid the embarrassment of not knowing the opponent: Sox play the......AHHHH, you KNOW who they play!!!!! Sox play the ___________ at __________________ . Sox play the opponents at the baseball field.
