  1. If this thread was started at 10:00 AM instead of 1:00 AM, I think the wording may have been a little different.
  2. It doesn't bother me. It's a little further off center, but not distracting for me.
  3. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) All I know is that I'd like the f*** the scientology right out of her. You'd be better off trying to f*** the gullible out of her, it would take much longer.
  4. QUOTE(soxpride77 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) Singleton should not be allowed to do any play-by-play, but I don't mind him as the color guy. This is what I think about Farmer, minus the "I don't mind him as the color guy" part. And I miss MVP as the radio home of the Sox, too, if for no other reason than the rest of the MVP broadcast day is at least listenable. The Score fills me with nausea.
  5. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) You know, I've never, ever known that. Wow. Is this something I should have been aware of? I'll be gosh darned. All the smarter, cooler fans knew this already.... It's been an ongoing thing with a few teams, but I don't think every team does this.
  6. HAHA, great story!!! Yeah, Jim, that's Jack Ruby's home now! Bikini Bottom is TOO GOOD for him!!! They should make a Rock Bottom tank for murderous bastards like him!!! And we just got home from the pet store, where we purchased Swimmy and Splashy - yes, I let her name her pets, too! ( Splashy is the more active one, OBVIOUSLY.... )
  7. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) There you go, starting rumors again. The betta may well have killed the goldfish, and after that may have picked at the body, but that is the extent of it. And the truth is that small dead fish decay amazingly rapidly warm freshwater. Poor goldy could have been really easily picked/shaken/tumbled apart within 12 hours of expiring with natoral decomposition helping out. You are just trying to frame poor Ruby, I know it. How DARE you defend that fish, SIR!!! (Jack) Ruby is an EVIL, EVIL fish. A MURDERER,the worst kind of SAVAGE - a FISH-EATIN' FISH!!!! He'll never have the chance to EAT any other fish, though. He's been sentenced to LIFE in a SpongeBob mini-tank prison cell, without hope of parole.
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) I think AJ looks good. AJ and Crede both kinda look weird when they have short hair. Long hair suits them better, I think.
  9. OHHHH, I forgot to tell you the FINAL chapter of the Ruby vs Goldy fish story: So last week we moved (Jack) Ruby to a small tank so we could clean out and prepare the tank for the new goldfish we're going to buy for the kid. Guess what we found buried in the gravel?? Goldy's HEAD. No body, just a head. So apparently at least ONE betta fish can eat at least ONE goldfish. Luckily, our daughter was at school, so she didn't have to see Goldy's disembodied head. Tonight we buy two new goldfish to live in the larger tank while (Jack) Ruby lives out his remaining days in solitary confinement in the small tank. Serves him right....the savage......
  10. I'd prefer to see a clean flush of the radio booth. Send Singleton down to a minor-league affiliate to hone the craft. I think he shows promise to be good someday, but let him cut his teeth in a smaller market. Farmer is brutal. Droning monotone, boring stories, bitter tone about most subjects. He was passable as a color man, but to listen to him as the primary voice is just awful.
  11. Sox Cardinals Brewers Red Wings Packers Blackhawks
  12. My favorite exchange: Mulligan: "But you admit swearing at me on the phone?" Smurphy: "Yeah, I've never denied that....but it was face-to-face, over the phone." M "I don't think you'd have sworn at me face-to-face." S "Why? Cuz there'd be a physical confrontation?" M "No, I just don't think that's your style." ( his tone clearly suggesting that Murphy's a pussy )
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 08:38 AM) I think she's hotter than ever. I'd pay $200.00 for front row, tops. The music? Eh, I can make my own fun. Well, if she's "hotter than ever" and you're not going there for the music, it seems like you're planning to "make your own fun" anyway....
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) How can it be a good deal for Lee? Sure he'll get paid but he's stuck with the Cubs and with no chance to win. If he thinks it's a good deal for him, then it is. He must've wanted to stay there to insist on a full no-trade, and 65 million is ridiculous money, whether or not there was MORE ridiculous money out there. He seems to want the security of knowing where he's going to play for the next 5 years, and now he has it.
  15. I read 5 years, $65 mil with a complete no-trade. Good deal for both sides.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) :puke and I raise you a :puke I'm all in.... :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke
  17. Wait, wait, wait......................"K-Fed" has FANS???? :puke
  18. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) ? ESPN is reporting he will be out 10 days Linky Then their web people don't talk to their network people. The on-screen scroll was saying 4 weeks.
  19. And SANITY is slowly returning to the world. Nice game!!!
  20. That inside corner heater was unhittable. NICE.
  21. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:13 PM) I'm just looking at the box score now, someone explain to me how Pudge got a SB? HOW IN THE WORLD DID MEATHOOK GET A STOLEN BASE? He stuck in the wet dirt when he slid and Joe kind of fell away from the base and lifted his glove. If Meathook didn't skid in the mud, he's out by a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way. AJ put a perfect throw right in front of the bag.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) thats surprising Garcia hitting 96.... sure the radar gun wasnt a couple mph fast. It may have been - there were a couple times where the on-screen gun said 95 and Hawk or DJ called it at 93. Nonetheless, his FB had some pop today. Road game, day game = decent outing.
  23. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) Can anybody tell how Garcia pitched? Did he have more mph on that fastball... did he look good. I like the results so far that Detroit Lineup is stacked PS Detroit TV play by play people or so very boring I really appreciate DJ and HAwk now He was much better today, as the results showed. His fastball tickled the mid-90's, he spotted relatively well. He made some mistakes, but not a bad outing by any means. Freddy can pitch better, but I'll take his outing today.
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) 30 hr's 30 Sb's No, Hawk said PK could "turn around a 30-30 when he's swinging the bat right". Sounds like some kind of weapon or something.
