Column on Schriffen...
Here’s what you’re missing: Schriffen is not a jaded Sox fan like the rest of us. He’s getting paid to inject life into the broadcast and, by extension, the team. Yes, using the term “haters” was pretty cringe, but holy hell are some of y’all blowing this way out proportion. This feels like misdirected anger about the org as a whole more than anything else.

Sox @ Cards 5/4, belated game thread
So sorry you were inconvenienced. Some conditions are too bad to play in. I don’t know why this is hard to understand.

Sox @ Cards 5/4, belated game thread
He was upset they were stopping the game. It came off like the most important thing about the situation was getting the sox a win, not player safety, not the fact that Brebbia kept asking for new baseballs multiple times between each pitch.

That little tantrum was annoying

Ramos getting called up
It’s the perfect year to do this. Use this shitty nothing season to your advantage by seeing what you have in guys. No? Just continue treading water with veterans? Okay then.

The Sox and clicking "Show more" are becoming an iconic duo.

Sox vs. Twins @ 110CT
I agree, but that's also pretty irrelevant at the moment IMO. The way I see it, these two things are both true: 1) The Sox are a bad team AND 2) They have a bad manager One of those is easier to resolve than the other.

Fire Pedro Grifol
Yeah for sure. Clear path to playing time on a team that likely doesn't have you in their future plans. If he stays healthy and performs reasonably well, I think he's setting himself up nicely for the trade deadline.

4/27- Rays at Sox, 6:10
Good lord man. How is saying Nicky Lopez has a 6-game hit streak, and a 7 game on-base streak “hyping him up”? Look, I think Nicky Lopez sucks. I also think those streaks are at least a little noteworthy considering how much both he and the team suck. Not everything has to be a petty argument.

That Eloy hustle has legit been the highlight of the season.

Are you sure you weren’t just watching Andrew Vaughn running in real time?

Pham up, Pillar out
But how will we ever accrue valuable internet points for being right if we don’t immediately declare something to be good or bad?

I had to check this multiple times because it seemed fake: The Sox only have 3 more losses than the Astros.- Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
Amazing. Fire everyone.- 2023-24 NFL Season Thread
As a fan of snowy games, what an absolute bummer.- Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
This is my favorite thread.- All kinds of Pedro Philosophy..."Reflect to Learn"
All snark aside...Pedro, this whole "zen trying to mask anxiety" approach you're doing clearly isn't working. FFS try something else man. You literally have nothing to lose.- Sox are 25th in defensive WAR
Dang, I knew Vaughn wasn't exactly good, but I didn't realize he was that bad. Dude brings absolutely nothing to the table right now.- No player symbolizes Chris Getz Player Development like Lenyn Sosa
We're still doing this back and forth in every other thread huh. Anyway, great initial post to the thread. Reality is a bummer.- 4/22: Sox @ Twins - 640CT - Cannon v. Paddack
Good job- 4/22: Sox @ Twins - 640CT - Cannon v. Paddack
The Twins are bad. If I squint hard enough I can see a series split, but games 2, 3 and 4 can also be no hitters for the Minnesota. I think the Sox win today, though.- Who would you pick to replace Grifol? Outside the box answers only.
Paul Konerko's statue. Jerry gets to milk the success of the 2005 team some more, plus it allows him him to stay internal and not talk to anyone new during the interview and hiring process. - Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record
