  1. Yeah, he’s generally not bad to people, unless those people happen to be Sox fans.
  2. The White Sox are the Spirit Airlines of professional sports organizations.
  3. That’s where I’m at. Even these idiots can stumble into a random win.
  4. Maybe they left him at the airport while he was in the Garrett’s Popcorn line.
  5. Anyone there just reading a book during the game?
  6. I don’t really agree with that. Buying isn’t exactly a luxury for a lot of teams. They’re under pressure to add. And they have to compete with other buyers.
  7. I don't think Crochet is going today.
  8. Yup. At least they have a good track record of acquiring injured players who bounce back quickly...
  9. Weird trade for the O’s. Is Rogers even an upgrade for them?
  10. Bloss, Loperfido and someone named Will Wagner going back to Toronto. The Fedde deal continues to get worse. https://x.com/bnicholsonsmith/status/1818094797078614020?s=46&t=OnuOXQYd74Oi_dnfHwalAA
  11. Personally, I’ve heard way too many past quotes from Hahn that go something like “We were waiting for the market to present itself” or whatever as a reason for not being aggressive/missing opportunities. And as a Sox fan, I’m programmed to assume history will repeat itself and/or expect the worst.
  12. It’s at least a little funny to me that Thorpe and Kyle Hendricks got lit up on the same night.
  13. If the Sox really want to win, buy 2,027 good players
  14. Actually surprised the Mariners are buyers. I think they're toast. Good on them for trying though.
  15. The way for Getz to really impress me is if he somehow snuck Grifol into a trade.
  16. But…they’re not winning. If you need the team to be good in order to avoid attention on how you call a game, then you’re probably not that good at your job.
  17. Dang. I love me some Gene Honda.
  18. Wrong outfielder Dombrowski
  19. Welcome to the Losers Club, Yankees. We all float down here ?
  20. If his value is actually being gauged based on three game increments, yeah, he ain’t getting moved. That’s so dumb.
  21. Holy f***. It’s three appearances over seven days in a five month long season. A promising young pitcher experiencing something like this mid season is not the worst thing in the world. See if he can bounce back. See if the pitching staff can help him through it. It’s a great test for all of them, and not exactly super high stakes.
  22. Even though I fully agree that Fedde > Eflin, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few teams that preferred Eflin for whatever reason. As caulfield says, that's really the only thing that matters. Exclamation Point!
  23. This is where I'm at. At some point you have to start turning around the bad reputation there seems to be across the league. Rushing a player back from a serious injury because there's potential for an extremely marginal return, only to have him reinjure himself, does not help the look for an already questionable organization.
