  1. Don't worry, they will athletic their way to scoring runs.
  2. I get all this, but I mean, Morosi didn't even put this out there under his own Twitter account or anything, so there are no clicks to generate. It's from a podcast he was a guest on. And quite frankly, saying he could see Robert being traded is not exactly a bold or controversial statement.
  3. Veering off the assignment a bit, but I was looking at past rosters and I think it's hilarious that the following players were on the White Sox: Julio Franco, Dave Righetti, Chris Sabo, John Kruk, Jim Abbott, Tony Phillips, Danny Tartabull, Doug Drabek, Ruben Sierra, Jose Canseco, David Wells, Kenny Lofton, Bartolo Colon, Darin Erstad, Andruw Jones, Ken Griffey Jr, Manny Ramirez, Juan Pierre, Jimmy Rollins White Sox legends, every one of em
  4. Dang. Maybe the fact that I’m past my prime is good enough to get me a minor league contract with a spring training invite. So many local products out here available to sign!
  5. I’m an Illinois native that has sucked lately. I can’t play defense, but I can probably still run a little. Willing to sign for 1 yr/$1 million, Getz.
  6. Any cheap veteran catcher that can help the young catchers and pitchers is good with me. That should be the priority. If Maldonado’s defense and game calling have slipped, as some have mentioned, then that’s a disservice to the pitching staff.
  7. JR spending a sizable part of his life half-assing a hobby he sucks at. Truly the most bored person in the world.
  8. Eloy's hasn't shown he can be relied upon to be regularly available to the team. How do you not factor that in when evaluating him as a player? In the meantime, we continue the "Eloy play more than 122 games in a season" challenge.
  9. Shields somehow getting in then wearing a Sox hat would be the funniest thing ever.
  10. Bad lineup, bad pitching, but at least they have a good manager leading the way.
  11. Robert's about to go .270 42 HR 47 RBI
  12. I would not, actually. Not even sure what is considered a "normal" personality vs "not normal." Regardless, part of Brooks' job is to manage different personalities and egos. If he needs it to be a very specific type of personality, maybe he just sucks at that part of his job?
  13. I think my dog is a more likely suitor for Ohtani than the Sox.
  14. I think one of the things that makes him great is his ability to be an educated and modern broadcaster while managing to keep it feeling light. He can get into analytics, but he's never dry, smug, patronizing or exhausting about it. If that's due in part to his so-called corny or cheesy personality, so be it.
  15. Yeah, I can't tell if AJ was overreacting for the sake of content or if he really can't grasp that saying "We have talent" and "We currently don't have a well rounded team" are not contradictory statements.
  16. WHY DO THE SOX KEEP HIRING FROM TERRIBLE ORGANIZA- Oh wait, it’s the Rays? Great hire!
  17. All these comments about Benetti being a “clown show” and a “total goofball” are kind of wild to me. Like, if I hadn’t ever watched any games for myself, I’d have to assume that he was constantly putting whoopee cushions on Stone’s seat, pranking him with cans of peanut brittle, throwing rubber chickens around the booth and talking about getting the one shopping cart with the bad wheel rather than actually calling the game.
  18. I believe Grifol looked the other way and said "f*** you, Colas."
  19. I love that people want well established play-by-play guy AJ Pierzynski to replace Benetti in the booth.
  20. Congrats to everyone that thinks good play by play announcers grow off trees. Enjoy whatever bland random person is in the booth next.
  21. Oh I get it. I'm basically just preferring bad and less bland over bad and very bland.
