‘‘I want to take a different approach, which is more effective. Just keep it a little more intimate and get a chance to look at each other in the eyes and just send that message of how important my message is in our message as an organization.’’ ?‍?‍?‍
  2. It does if Pedro continues to only call out younger guys while being afraid of veterans.
  3. A priority for rebuilding teams should always be giving washed up veterans another chance to prove they can still play
  4. So like, who even are the young guys expected to be on the roster that all these clubhouse leaders are supposed to have a positive influence on?
  5. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I've always felt his struggles were due to injuries and not at all motivation. I don't really have anything concrete to base that on, and I get why many think otherwise. Either way, it's a relief knowing I only have one more season to blindly defend him.

This season is going to be a lot of learning what people look like.
  7. Maybe this ends up helping him to be more selective at the plate.
  8. There's only room for so many superstars.
  9. Just looking at SPs that will be free agents after the season on likely non-contenders, the list is…not great. Wacha is the only one that even sort of stands out, and he has a player option, so I don’t know how much that muddies the waters.
  10. No? I don’t know what this has to do with the context of my post.
  11. Maybe, but being cynical 100% of the time is exhausting.
  12. Look, I’m 1000000% in favor of the South Loop move… …But… I don’t get why we keep trying to lump all Sox fans into the same category. Some fans would absolutely prefer to drive to games, park and tailgate. Some fans will absolutely not give a s%*# that there are more bars around the stadium. The complaining about the complaining and the telling people why they should like something is getting more annoying than the initial complaining. Like, who fucking cares? Different people want different things.
  13. I was gonna make some dumb joke about JR's final f*** you to fans being that he insists the stadium face southwest but....that would be cool too! You'd have the river out there and the St Charles Air Line Bridge in the backdrop. Just an awesome location.
  14. Yeah a little more character on the exterior would be cool. As is, it looks a bit like a convention center.
  15. Right on. I’m very pro public transit/anti car in general, so I love the new idea. It’s perfect for me and I imagine many others. But to assume that public transit is a viable option for everyone is a little narrow minded. That said, there’s obviously no outcome that will be perfect for everyone. Looking forward to seeing how things shake out.
  16. Great thread btw. There are no wrong answers and the possibilities are endless.
  17. Eaton - Represents the failure to find a RF Leury - Represents the failure to find a 2B along with some other dumb stuff Kopech - Represents the flaming out of hyped prospects TLR - Yeah
  18. We get it. You like the Fletcher trade.
  19. I don’t love him, but don’t really mind him either. He’s not an accomplished writer like Margalus and Fegan are, so he’s not as measured in his thoughts, which is fine. I think that combination works well for the podcast.
  20. Nicky Lopez reaches third on a softly hit grounder because he plays the game the right way. Maldonado strikes out on a passed ball but waves Lopez home because he is a good veteran leader. Just one example.
  21. A healthy dose of athleticism and veteran leadership
  22. That sounds like a lot of uncertainties and assumptions to base a strong opinion on, but then again I'm probably in the minority in that I don't really get too into speculating.
  23. If Benintendi is batting leadoff, with his lack power, dude's gonna have like 12 rbis on the season.
  24. Has Baltimore’s offer for Cease been leaked somewhere or are people just assuming they know what the offer was based on the return for Burnes?
