  1. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Where are all the updates? The wheels fell of the Walker bandwagon rather quickly.
  2. They have a ridiculously thin farm system too... Edwin Encarnacion is about all that's there.
  3. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Two quick notes before I go: Ozuna in at short. Anderson in at center. Walker now pitching. Hawk says Ozuna has not K'ed this entire spring and is hitting over .500. Here is why Walker should make the team over Cotts: Walker ST ERA is now Higher than Cotts...
  4. 1) Whip it out 2) ask her 3) profit???
  5. Who's paid for Shiavo's care for the last 15 years? If they didn't have the money, wouldn't they have pulled the plug years ago? Who's funding all of these legal proceedings?
  6. John Winger: Come on, it's Czechoslovakia. We zip in, we pick 'em up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia, it's like going into Wisconsin. Russell Ziskey: Well, I got the s*** kicked out of me in Wisconsin once. Forget it.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) Here's an idea. Take out an EBay ad to get people to bid on going out on a prom date with you. This would actually be a good idea... You would be guaranteed to get attention... All you have to do is send the link to a bunch of highly trafficed sites and local news media... The local news would eat that s*** up. It's not like they've got anything imortant to report up there in Ya Hey Der country. You'd make some scratch out of the deal as well.
  8. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Dude you need confidence if you're gonna do this. So you need to junk that attitude right now! Yeah, Ladies love confidence..... Confidence and BIG COCKS. So here's my advice: Go to the supermarket by yourself an appropriately sized and shaped fruit or vegetable, and then throw it down your shorts in a nice banana hammock. I know baggy pants are in these days, so you might have to rub up against the girl while you are asking her for her to notice. The key is to only rub your junk on her just enough for her to notice. Too much and you'll 1) creep her out, and 2) bruise your fruit or vegetable so that you can't have it for lunch later.

  10. QUOTE(AirScott @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) you talk like there'd be no chance of McCarthy resigning with the Sox as a free agent. It doesn't matter about the agent... The salary values sky rocket at free agency. Getting an extra year out of a player @ close to 300K is a big deal, when in 6 years the salaries are going to be through the roof, no matter if he resigns or not.
  11. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Do you have a link to that website that fully explains arbitration? Someone posted it on here but I can't remember who. I was just looking for something that explained "super two" status, which is the risk you take with the second option I listed. Here's the best one I could find that fits both our criteria. http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/...n_2003_12_14_0/
  12. QUOTE(AirScott @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) I'd like to see McCarthy standing in for Buerhle, even if it's only for a start or two. Just to see how he responds to the pressure of being a MLB starter would show how he might respond to greater pressure in the future (the playoffs). If he's broght up early his arb clock gets started early... He'd likely be eligible for FA following the 2010 season, and you'd get 6 full seasons use out of him. If he comes up later in the season, we can have him for 3+ years at a near league minumum salary, and 3 more years at arbitration value. He'd likely be eligible for FA following the 2011 season, and you'd get 6 and a half years of service out of him.
  13. I think it's exaggerated due to the amount of ST broadcasts we get this season. There's only so much you can talk about during those games.
  14. Frank... MB will be fine.. Schilling proved you can pitch with an f'd up foot. I don't think the injury is too bad, and he'll be back to normal before you know it. Thomas? Have you seen his calf? Mine's bigger than his. He uses his front foot more than anyone else in baseball. It's going to be awhile before he's the frank of old.
  15. Spring Break Shark Attack Update Spoilers Ahead.... Sharks - 4 People - 0 Sharks - 6 Terps - 0
  16. Those damn refs, they've sent SIU to the line 15 times -- 1 more than their average for a game, 3 more than they sent OSU.
  17. For the record, I know a member of the 1994-95 teams (non-scholarship) -- He drove the same new blue chevy blazer that everyone else on the team had. It was a widely known and joked about on campus at the time.
  18. My Controls>Options>Board Settings --- Change the time.
  19. Last year I was complaining about no buzzer beaters -- We still haven't had one this year -- But I'm not going to complain. Donwey was raining clutch shots. That block, hell that whole play, at the end of overtime was great. Gadney pours in 19 in overtime. OMG. ------ It looks like somebody took a shotgun to the Albuquerque region in my bracket. I don't even remember who I picked in the Louisville/GT game, but rest assured that I'll get that one wrong too tomorrow. Chicago is pristene though. not a red mark on it.
  20. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Mar 19, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) garland is a FA after this year. No, no he's not.
  21. Yeah, I've seen it be f***ed up for one pitch.... It was just amazingly consistent for Cotts in the 9th.
  22. Anyone who watched most of the game today, what was Buehrle hitting on the gun? I ask because in the 9th, every pitch cotts threw was between 92 and 94. Last season his FB was 89-91. If he has added a couple MPH, that's gonna be great. But it could just be a fast gun.
