  1. I've been a fan for 40 years, but at some point I don't know how people can follow this franchise closely and consistently over time. It's extremely frustrating and often embarrassing. I didn't really watch intently from about 2012 to 2019. I got excited a bit last year with the young talent, got MLB, and was pleasantly surprised. Obviously this year has been fun, but ultimately the same old shit just more talent. That said I am complete sucker for the Bears, I get excited every year, and they are probably even more poorly run than the Sox.
  2. That happened in the 7th, after he didn't have anyone up in the pen to start the 5th and Houston tied the game. And then he brought in Crochet rather than Kopech, so two WFT moments before then imo. And maybe more, I don't recall.
  3. Most of that has not been luck.
  4. Putting both games 1 and 2 during the day is so fucking stupid. MLB has its head up its ass. Just put them all in the evening and let them overlap. But even with these dumbass day games they should never, ever have one series play two weekday day games in a row.
  5. He could still hit pretty well after, but yes. I think that happened with Cincinnati where he was hurt on and off for like 3 years and then never really recovered.
  6. Similar to Ken Griffey Jr. Probably won't be quite that level of CF as he fills out.
  7. Yeah, they weren't even close to being balls. I thought the dugout would be going crazy.
  8. Was it me or did Crochet throw three pitches that were fully within the TV strike zone that were all called balls to Choi in the 9th?
  9. It was completely inexplicable.
  10. Big fan of his. Every at bat is professional and competitive. Great fielder so far, had perfect footwork on the turn last night and just has a feel for how to get the ball and make the play.
  11. You left out Vaughn if I'm reading this correctly.
  12. I take solace in that every day in every way, buddy! Game recognize game!
  13. Why does TLR leave Giolito and Cease out for 108+ but pull Lynn at 95 when he is cruising?
  14. Best ball and strike umpiring of the season. Great win, everyone contributed, they battled.
  15. This may have been discussed earlier but how did Anderson not get an error on Goldschmidt's liner that scored StL's run? Pretty routine play imo.
  16. b**** ass Duffy was scared to hit Yermin.
  17. Stone insinuated that Moncada could have gotten back to the bag on Yerm's line out double lay to first last night. I was like wtf? It was literally caught with the glove on the base.
  18. Hey, look at that! I'm coaching first base for the Royals.
