  1. Yeah, we get blown out at home quite a bit in the tank era. This year we've had some nice wins at home, but still a ton of blowouts.
  2. What's up with the weather shots? Kansas City was 85 today and we're usually almost identical to Chicago. You guys got cold weather?
  3. Time to get to Vegas and make some over bets and parlays. The Twins and the over.
  4. Games like tonight are why I'm convinced we still could lose 8-12 in a row and be back to crap. Sometimes I feel like Ricky deserves manager of the year to date for getting us so close to .500. I guess I should be happy with what the boys have done so far with so much crud on the mound and in the lineup. GO AUTHENTIC FAN! GO BIG HURT!
  5. I'm not odd. I'm even brilliant at times.
  6. I don't want a strike desperately. I'm saying if they were out two years or a full year maybe the networks would demand some needed changes like "no openers allowed; no shifts allowed; severe penalties for tanking; getting the umpires under control to call a strike a strike and not squeeze all pitchers." My disdain for owners who tank has made me not care if they strike and even want the game to implode a year or two because of what it's become. Times have changed since the last strike. There's way more greed and nastiness in America. Everybody wants theirs and nobody's gonna give up one single paycheck. You are right both players and owners will have incentive to keep every stinking dollar. There will be a lot of posturing but no strike. Again, everybody wants every single penny.
  7. I hope they strike for a couple years and totally revamp the game. With all teams worth over 1 billion dollars now, I don't expect the owners to let players strike for long. They will cave as they always do.
  8. Great win! I'm not a Covey guy, but I do like Tilson. Excellent victory in front of a nice enthusiastic crowd. Good hustle tonight. Nice bunt by Cordell. Ricky you apparently know what you are doing after all. You have a fairly lousy roster just two below .500. Granted that can turn to 12 under in a hurry but as FOR NOW you are doing a nice job with crap to work with.
  9. Disagree. It worked thus it's a GREAT call. It's about results! It worked. Ricky take a bow. A-plus move there.
  10. We're gonna win cause greg can't watch the ninth. Have to finish something.
  11. A win tonight would please greg. Please win.
  12. Cordell coulda easily rolled into a DP so I guess Ricky deserves credit for knowing his team.
  13. I guess skipper deserves credit but I wasn't fond of a bunt there. Good speed all around.
  14. No reason to screw with a bunt there. Just let him bat and the chips fall where they may.
  15. I'm starting to become fond of Tilson. Looks like he has a clue.
  16. That wasn't a bad play at all. Nice defense there. Wasn't worth 3 replays but a nice play.
  17. As expected, we're not gonna score many tonight.
  18. Hit 'em where they ain't, Cordell. Lotta space between first and second but not where u hit it.
  19. I kind of like Charlie but that's not the way to advance the runner.
  20. You'd think with all the time these guys have in spring training and the offseason they'd all work on bunting against the shift. Baseball is bizarre. Bunting against the shift is not embraced really, yet the walk is embraced. You plop a bunt down when there is a shortstop on the left side of the infield and nobody else it's an automatic hit. Yet it's rarely done and people clamor for walks.
