I hope everybody is proud of me for not writing 11 paragraphs explaining all the reasons I love Ozzeroo.
  2. I worship Tim but he has only two walks all season. His batting average will eventually suffer cause of his swinging at everything. He is who he is but a free swinger like TA is going to ultimately suffer.
  3. Anybody else concerned about a Sale no hitter?
  4. There's got to be some reason pitchers are so brittle. I was just pointing out that if I'm a pitching coach I get out the Buehrle tapes for a lefty and Fergie Jenkins tapes for a righty. Fluid, baby.
  5. Different guys contributing to these victories which is always nice for team morale. McCann, Delmonico tonight. Love seeing the look on the young kid in the Red Sox jersey briefly in the shot when Nicky got all of it. I don't want to continue being that guy who praises the team when we win and expresses total angst and anger when we lose, but I am who I am. As for tonight, color me impressed. To stick it to Boston in the ninth and walk it off ... it gets no better than that. You know the whole city of Boston is fricking pissed.
  6. I hope so. His pitching is not impressing me. Again, it is a cold night.
  7. Gio appears to have reduced velocity. Is this true? The eye test is not doing Gio any favors. He appears blah to me. Maybe it's the weather. Hard to have a moving fastball in cold? His fastball screams hit me.
  8. This will be it for Covey. He'll be DFA after this stint. You can only stand so much. Ask Phil Humber.
  9. If I were the Sox, I'd demand every lefty pitcher copy Mark Buehrle and his fluid pitching motion as well as pace of pitching. Fast. For a righty? I'd demand they look up tapes of Ferguson Jenkins and his fluid pitching motion as well as pace of pitching. Fast. There has to be a way to cut down on all these arm injuries.
  10. I'm just so confounded by all the pitcher surgeries. I can't really get excited about any pitching prospect anymore because of this. I guess there are some freaks of nature out there still but it's just a matter of time for starting pitchers. Look ... all college pitchers who are drafted should IMMEDIATELY be in the big leagues. Why waste those pitches in the minors??? A pitcher has only so many pitches before surgery. You tell me they need seasoning? Yeah right. The NBA is playing guys who should be sophomores in college. Just pitch the good ones in the bigs immediately. Cause the clock is ticking on all of them regarding surgery.
  11. I'm a reasonable person so I probably need to change my opinion of McCann. Nice HR McCann and nice job so far as a Sox.

I did get upset at the end regarding his Sunday lineups. Felt like we were conceding Sunday games a lotta times. The sight of Ozzie bringing the lineup card to home plate on a sunny day makes me smile though. Ozzie is White Sox thru and thru.

Of course. I can't think of anybody I'd want more except Gardy, Girardi, LaRussa or Leyland. do think he'd have to sign some document indicating he is fired immediately if a committee of three (pick three guys who would be fair like Konerko, Stone, Baines) unanimously ruled that any of his statements were improper as in racist, sexist, too political, etc). If he speaks out of line, the committee of three makes the decision on whether he's fired. If he's fired, his bench coach (Omar Vizquel) is promoted.
  14. I'd think the Sox have a problem with all the different age groups. Millennials: We're told they don't like to go out and spend money. True you can get a deal on Sox tickets to get in the park, but do Millennials care enough to play the secondary market game or figure out the nights there are bargains? For the lousy White Sox ... doubtful. Any Millennials on here? Tell us about your age group's philosophy on going to Sox games please. Over 50 business people: Forget about it. The blue collar of those don't have the money to care enough about getting buddies to go to games. After a hard day's work they would prefer to go home, cook out, watch some big screen TV, drink and chill. The wealthier of the over 50 group don't have 3 plus hours to spend watching bad baseball, oft times in uncomfortable weather (too hot in summer; too cold in April/May). Can any over 50s give me their thoughts on attending games? I'd think the length of game coupled with the cost combined with the fact the Sox stink has made most over 50s pass on the game. Teenagers and under: I would think kids still would like to go to a game or two with dad or aunt Betty or Uncle Joe, but not more than once or twice a year. There's soccer and other sports and video games and i phones that occupy most of the time. Concessions are pretty expensive for a kid and even aunt Betty or Uncle Joe better bring some Benjamins if they are treating kids to hats, food, drink, jerseys. I'd think baseball attendance problems are real. I have no idea how teams like the Royals and White Sox, who had less than 1,000 people in the stands for Game One yesterday can be worth billions of dollars. The TV contracts are that good? Wow.
  15. I think we'll go 6-18. If we somehow go better than .500 in that stretch, maybe Rick Renteria is better than we think. Sox talent is really poor. We really have no business winning many games in this stretch.

Everybody knows how I feel about Ozzie.
  17. Or maybe he was appalled by the bunt call which was so so dumb. Why stifle? He's never going to manage again. He might as well "tell it like he thinks it is." Full disclosure on my take: I love Ozzie.
  18. Look at it this way. Alonso came through to save the day/the split. He still came up with a big hit despite the dumbass bunt attempt by Ricky. Alonso could have hit a liner right into the shift. Instead he pokes a beauty to left for the W.
  19. I do enjoy Alonso's interviews. Seems like he cares. He's also big. If I were an opponent I wouldn't want him charging the mound. Way to go Alonso. I enjoyed the walk off. We haven't had a ton of walk off wins during the tank years. This year we've had two just recently.
  20. Are u bleeping me? I gotta start liking Alonso. Didn't hit into the shift. Wins the game. Nice to see Engle run hard as well. I'll take the split after a lot of bad baseball today.
  21. That bunt try irritates me. Feeble attempt. I wanted a fly ball to tie it.
  22. Hate to say it but I want a fly ball. I don't want him to mess up.
  23. Not complaining but wasn't that strike three? Will they review this call on the bunt?
  24. Everybody says "Ricky's boys don't quit." Well I knew there was trouble today having a DH against the pathetic Orioles. Ricky's boys also have a tendency to appear to loaf at home against lousy teams. We better rally and not get swept.
  25. If he pitches this bad his next start, is DFA possible? He's just as bad as Erwin it appears. Mabe the DL.
