  1. I was thinking the other day ... I have no desire to hold a gun or shoot a gun ever. It's not on my bucket list. I do have some friends who hunt pheasant in the hills of Kansas though. And I have fished in my life and sort of enjoy fishing. But what's the big allure of guns? F--k guns. I don't need 'em. None of us need 'em. Peace, baby. We need to be like Europeans and not want to possess firearms.
  2. Did the U.S. blow up the mountain? I missed that one. Pretty cool if we actually damaged their progress toward nuclear engagement. It was kind of scary those weeks when the nutjob was threatening to send some missiles to our mainland and Hawaii.
  3. Man, baseball is an unforgiving sport. Adam was a pretty good ballplayer. Hurt all the time.
  4. I do. But I am a Sox fan and I don't like our season being over in early May. And 17 under .500 already. I mean good grief. Also I'm starting to get mad at the severity of the rebuild. I mean it's not like we're guaranteed to draft well. I know we allegedly don't want to be anywhere near .500 during the rebuild years, but it is embarrassing and annoying to suck like this. We've already made the bulk of the trades. We're not going to "flip anybody" on this roster worth a damn. I guess we could still trade Jose A and Beef. But Nate's not bringing anybody; Avi at this rate isn't bringing anybody. Soria for gosh sake isn't bringing anybody. So that only leaves the draft pick as reason to want us to suck and that's not a good enough reason to win 48 games. Finally ... heads should roll over paying Soria what the Sox are paying him. I know I want the front office to pay big bucks at all times to players, but some of the folks on this board who don't want the Sox to ever spend money should be FURIOUS over this waste of money in Soria. Why give him that kind of 'jack?' The man could not strike out Fathom.
  5. If you are semi wealthy, do u have season tix? Can I have some tix for when I return to Chicago for a game or two?
  6. Lip Man, you are the man, but cutting Avi is a bit cruel. He put up some good numbers last year despite the BABIP frenzy on this board (not you). Lip Man you can't be serious bout Avi. Although if he continues to suck I will be disappointed. Yet if he hits .225 this year with 19 homers, he's definitely become Viciedo.
  7. I don't think so. As stated many times, the pitching will guarantee 7 to 8 losses every 10 games no matter how well the bats start doing. Close games? Got no setup and no closer. And many non-close games cause of hacks who are starting. It is what it is: a 48 to 51-win team.
  8. I'll buy that, El Rockin. And he had a beautiful game last game, but I do despise him overall as a player.
  9. I will give the Sox the benefit of the doubt in one regard. Moncada and Avi are hurt. That truly makes our current lineup not even a good one for a AAA team. Moncada and Avi with Abreu should be able to do a little bit of damage in Wrigley Field. We'd still get swept but again, without those 2 we really blow instead of just blowing.
  10. I wasn't a fan of acquiring him. He wasn't all that at the time we got him. Ditto Soria. My gawd. Somebody must be fired for that acquisition. The Shields acquisition as well. Certainly nobody on this board was happy about acquiring Big Game James at the time we got him.

True. Nobody on here is clamoring for Eloy to be brought up, just to get our minds off the crappy pitching staff we have.
  12. YAY, we lose. I need to get in the spirit of the rebuild. Just how we planned it. One game closer to a great draft pick. On to game two and Mr. Shields. I'll give him credit for a fine performance his last outing, but I am not a Shields guy.
  13. This is not in the true spirit of sports. Throwing away seasons on purpose is very sad and against the concept of sportsmanship. It's frankly a joke. You don't have to be THIS bad to rebuild.
  14. Amen, brother.
  15. Good post. I mean players don't deserve to get beaned their next at bat after celebrating just a little bit. It's a stupid concept. Some hitters celebrate a single or double pretty expressively. Who cares?
  16. When Hawk gushes that the team never quits, they should expect days they get called out for quitting.
  17. Very embarrassing. I wish somebody would get fired.
  18. Fulmer must be sent down ... period. For his sake. Sign some independent league arms for grins.
  19. I can only hope the media and fans mock this historically bad team all weekend. Embarrassing mismatch. If they are going to make Sox fans suffer, the front office should suffer as well.
  20. It is simpiy disgraceful.
  21. No I'm not. Read my post. I'm asking not pontificating.
  22. He certainly does look like Paulie up there. However, it is weird that he only hits against KC.

You trust the remodelers. We don’t
  24. A terrible manager? Really? WS resume

Why are so many people comfortable in telling greg what to do? I never said that.
