I'm trying to figure out how I lost command of MLB rosters. There are zillions of players I've never heard of. I used to know all of MLB. Very strange to be a dummy now in terms of MLB personnel on each team cept Sox.

I can see going to a game this summer out of nostalgia sake. I've seen so many games in person thru my life as a Sox fan I could see reminiscing at a Sox game. However I would barely pay attention to the game, like attending a minor league game. Sox are to the point it doesn't matter if they win or lose. They were out of the race after 2 weeks which is fricking amazing when u think about it. Corned beef forever!

I don't mind if a fan goes to 1-2 games this season but the reason has to be the food. There's absolutely no reason to watch this team play ball. ... By the way the Cardinals stink. Wonder if the Sox will win the series.

True. I guess the Sox won't be embarrassed by tiny crowds all summer.

This is unique though. Never in Sox history has a team been so poorly put together. Everyone knew, everyone!, that this lineup would be so weak. And the Sox did nothing about it this offseason. In January the team did nothing and you just KNEW this team would reek at an all time level of lousiness. Baseball is a game, but again, this level of ineptitude is different. For instance the team is so bad I did not buy mlb.com to watch this wreck of a team and I'm a lifelong Sox fan who til this year has watched a ton of games. It's a game but Sox management has taken away ALL enjoyment. I mean you could tune in to watch Crochet or Pham (Robert, Eloy) but that's it.

But I forgive him as I thought he was referring to fans who have been hating on the team. I can understand his excuse and I forgive him. ... When I've been in the car they haven't been real negative but not sickening homer either. If things get too bad they are kind of funny telling anecdotes about things besides the Sox. ... I like it. He and Pham are old but will be a nice 1-2 punch. It's like the South Side Hit Men being reincarnated. Gamble, Zisk, Spencer ... now Eloy, Pham, Walsh. Bring it on baby.

True, but Oz seems like the guy who could be talked into managing this rotten team without too much convincing. He might want a little too much $$ however. Now that I think of it he'd prolly want too much dough. But I think if Jerry asked him he'd do it (says a guy with no knowledge of the Sox inner workings). Just my take.

This should get more scrutiny. You think he reads the message boards? It's not like fans go on Twitter to vent about a team nobody cares about: the Sox. I would guess the good talk radio guys in Chicago just mock the team at this point. So who are these haters? It's appalling a new play by play guy would blast the fanbase after a sweep of a bad team, the Rays. He should apologize. We haters have a reason to be upset at the club.

The Royals let Witt do his thing last year despite a horrific team/lineup. I say play anybody close to ready rather than Maldy and DeJong and other various stiffs on the club.

Plus we only got five hits if you take out two from one of our only big leaguers on the roster, Tommy Boy! Phamtastic Pham. Pham, Crochet, Eloy, Robert, Moncada, Mendick and Kopech (if he had a good pitching coach) are the only players who'd make another team's roster. Lee might be close.

I don't feel sorry for Pedro at all. His decision to sit Pham in the first game of a homestand against a team we'd just lost four in a row to and not put out there our best lineup lost me forever. Just fire the guy. Geez. Jerry can afford to pay Ozzie for the rest of the season and pay off Grifol.

Look folks. You pitch six guys in a game you are not gonna win that game. Sox bullpen is sub-par. Only got seven hits and two by Sir Tommy Pham. Say what you want about Greg. I told u all our great skipper took away all momentum in benching him Game One which we probably would have won had Pham played. I know Minnie owns the Sox in good times and bad, but cmon. 0-7 against a mediocre team? The Twins have won 10 in a row? Big deal. Seven against the Sox. I know Jerry is cheap but cmon. At least get rid of Pedro and name Ozzie interim. Sure it'll cost a couple hundred thousand or several hundred thousand to pay off Pedro and give Ozzie some money for taking over this wretched team. They still can hire somebody else for next year in case there are still Ozzie haters lingering. But cmon? 0-7 vs Minnie and 1-6 vs. KC is dumb. Goodbye Pedro.

Man, 55 wins is optimistic. Sox would have to win more than six games per month to accomplish that feat.

I think he's 7 hits in 77 at bats. Obviously he's pulling a Hosmer. Only solution, retirement. Like the Astro guy said he still has the bat speed. He's just like Vaughn though. A mess at the plate.

This one really made me mad because it was as if a 3-game win streak in Pedro's mind had turned the Sox into an actual team. We need to win 19 in a row to even creep into contention. So he sits the guy responsible for the turnaround 3 games in. What a joke. I now am firmly in the fire Pedro corner. Disgusting decision to sit the new guy for rest purposes.

Forgive me but I'm very upset. Grifol is a stooge. My gosh. So you go 3-0 with Pham and it's obvious Pham and Mendick are two guys who actually are worthy of a spot on the big league roster. So he rests Pham cause he had no spring training. Are you serious Grifol??? Your team has a chance to start winning some games and go from historically bad to just bad and you REST PHAM?? After three fricking games? That's what they said on the radio. He was rested tonight cause he had no spring training, You'd think Grifol would want to ride the hot bat and win a fourth in a row against a Minnie team that embarrased the Sox in Minnie. Instead they bench Pham and let him pinch hit once. This resting of players in the big leagues is a fricking joke. Thanks Pedro. You are a buffoon. I bet he was so proud of himself making sure to rest Pham after three games. Just resign. Three games and he's tired??? Gawd I'm angry.

Yeah but it seems to me some of these peeps on here are hoping the Sox trade anybody and everybody off this year's team who other teams might 'want.' If the Sox do so, we're not just talking a team that can't compete but again, a ridiculous 50-win type team. I mean is that what you want? 50 wins two years in a row or more? This is crazy IMO. At some point you can't tank every year in hopes young prospects we have and are to draft will lead us to greatness. At some point 50 wins is a total crime against MLB.

Not to be a contrarian, but if the goal is to trade anybody with an MLB pulse at the deadline for prospects who are not near ready, won't next year's team on paper be just as miserable or worse than this year's squad? I mean if they trade any pitcher who is meh or better and Eloy (and Moncada) if Eloy keeps hitting, won't next year's team draw even fewer fans and interest than this year's? Oh well as you all know I don't value anybody on our current roster except Crochet, Clevinger, Kopech, Eloy (maybe), Robert and Pham and Mendick. Getting rid of all of them will leave the Sox mired in this disgusting swamp they are in now.

No, it's embarrassing. These are the big leagues. The Sox have six wins. You don't scream this south side stand up when the team is this bad. It's minor league, that's all. I didn't like him calling out the 'haters' after Saturday's win either. Anybody have a copy of today's final out call? I don't watch games anymore so I need to find his yelling on the highlights.

Nice to see them let Fedde go 108 pitches. When you pitch 3-5 relievers in a game it certainly hurts the White Sox.

It's not that difficult. Add some guys who belong on a big league field and you'll win a few games even if the team is horsebleep. Before Pham and Mendick and the recent moves we had zero reason to be interested. Now it appears we're getting close to being just one of many bad teams in the league not historically bad.

Cmon. We have more than a right to be 'haters.' Even though the Sox have woken up with Pham and Mendick and a decent starter who is on his way soon, the roster construction is beyond bad. He should be reprimanded for calling true fans haters. I mean, cmon. We haters still want the team to win. We are just appalled at this historically bad team. He must apologize.
