  1. I think this is my new favorite thread.
  2. ...and people say we're trying to be like KC. The Royals didn't want Grifol, and we did. Isn't that enough of a difference??? </sarc>

Wirtz went so far as to raid his own niece's trust fund. The only reason he didn't end up in jail is because the statute of limitations had passed. Not saying Jerry is good, or that Rocky's actions make others better or worse. Just stating that Bill Wirtz was in a league of his own, and Jerry, as bad as he is, doesn't touch Dollar Bill's level of corruption.

Nowhere near as bad as Wirtz, but conceptually yes.
  5. At least a solid outing by the pitchers. i hope I eat crow on Crochet. Great game by him (or terrible game by the Tigers)
  6. Availability based on a group of 10+ tickets together. Yikes.
  7. ...but are you really, though?
  8. If so, I'll be there... watching... from a tailgate.
  9. The tweet in the second video basically says "no wonder Bauer snapped."
  10. Chicago White Sox - bringing you yesterday’s mediocrity… tomorrow.
  11. “Paul DeJong sampled a Bong” sounds like the start of a Humpty Dumpty style poem
  12. Solid if you can come up with a poorly photoshopped picture of the Nasty Nate poster from Half Baked.
  13. If we can build his value up as a high-leverage reliever, build up value and trade him.
  14. These comedic replies alone make this announcement worth it. Thank you.
  15. I mean, he can get some valuable insight by watching joining the team for the first road trip of the year.
  16. I initially misread this poll as "Grade the Cease Thread." I feel like that would be much more interesting.
  17. Tell Jerry that Lorenzen can play RF, so he can save money on that 26th roster spot.
  18. Big league bullpens are full of guys who failed as starters who became closers. Just off the top of my head of Sox / ex-Sox guys, I can think of ReyLo, Hendriks, Jenks, Colome. Kopech has shown he can't be counted on to be a starter. He's got talent (read: "stuff"), and it seems like he'd be able to be an effective bullpen arm.
  19. There’s a Royals joke waiting to be written there
  20. Clearly the $500M is the money needed toward the new park at The 78.
  21. Yep - Ricky was a great rebuild manager to instill discipline and cohesion. Half wondering if the 1/3-season success of 2020 was enough to induce delusional confidence in the 2021 season… I wonder if 2020 would have been a full season and the team would have inevitably hit the wall, would Ricky have hung around for 2021, and TLR wouldn’t have come back?
  22. Some people happen to be into that.
  23. Based on this comment, I was half tempted to create one with my expert depiction of Drake LaRoche....
  24. It's a depiction of an action shot from 2022.
