  1. Last 10 games for Danks: .375/.487/.750/1.237 - 32 AB/3 HR/6 BB/4 SO
  2. Very good write-up. This season has just become so frustrating, disappointing and frankly, embarrassing. I've been making annual trips out to Chicago for a few days now the past few years but I seriously doubt i'm doing that again this year. I just don't know how I can justify spending that kind of money on what is being displayed right now
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 5, 2011 -> 07:55 AM) Buster_ESPN Buster Olney From Elias: NYY became third team in modern history to complete four-game sweep without allowing a walk. Others: '68 BOS, '05 Boston (AL). Yea but that was while facing control wizards such as Burnett, Nova, and Hughes. It's not our fault and it has nothing to do with our approach at the plate or our hitting coach. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap...
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 04:01 PM) Samuel J. Seymour, Last Surviving Witness Of Lincoln Assassination, Appears On Television In 1956 Very cool. Also, note the Winston ad right in the middle of things. How things have changed.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 02:40 PM) Why all the doom and gloom? The Tigers are losing right now. We can gain a game tonight. There's plenty of time left. Dunn and Rios are bound to turn it around any day now and Paulie should be back. This^^^ De Aza will deliver us to the promised land
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 08:07 AM) We should sue for slander. I hope someone did send in a rebuttal however, because that paints this site in a negative light even if he didnt necessarily mean all o fthose comments came from here directly
  7. I still can't figure out how serious this thread is
  8. Question about last night - since we never batted in the bottom of the inning, why do the stats from the visiting team count? I know the game was official and it was over but I guess I just thought that stats reverted back to the last finished inning (if necessary)
  9. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) So a spaceship that was able to travel across galaxies and suddenly runs out of fuel at Earth is as valid as sending a land rover to the planet next door to us and having it break.... Well obviously they were not aware of the problems massive flocks of birds pose to aircraft on this planet. Duh.
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) Haha, as long as it's not for my team, I love stuff like that, it's so ridiculous that it makes it interesting for me. Exactly. I'm a Big East guy so I won't have to deal with watching it. And NW isn't exactly a good program so all this would do is bring attention they otherwise would not have received.
  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 11:56 AM) Northwestern Considering Purple Basketball Court Please do it
  12. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 10:16 AM) [Play Jim Mora soundbite here].
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) I love hearing it's ok cause Teahen is a joke of a player. The same Teahen that has a career .739 OPS with 66 homers in 3125 at bats, while the GREAT Ozzie Guillen had a career .626 OPS with 28 homers in 7133 at bats? It doesnt matter if he were the worst player in the world, it's pathetic that people are actually using that to somewhat justify this or blow it away
  14. QUOTE (MikeKreevich @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) Men who tweet are in serious need of hormone replacement. But it was a damn g... Eh screw it, no it wasn't
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 05:00 PM) Yeah, but I will eventually. Derrick Rose will be there, too. That's great. I'll just continue to enjoy the college game and the championship UConn just won this past year.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) Well, you can go hang out at KeyArena during future NBA seasons and you won't have to worry about the wave. Neither will you this year at the United Center this year and I couldn't be happier about that
  17. What sparked Teahen to say that? I saw it when he put it on twitter but thought nothing of it at the time
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) cant wait to see Rios
  19. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) Sweet no wave anymore.. now all they need are enforcers at every end of the seats to make sure no one is allowed to get up for any reason until the game has completed.. Some of you guys are jokes Have fun doing the wave, "getting loud" when you are told to do so, and being an obnoxious ass by getting up and down as you please. I actually believe this goes over well in a ballpark on the north side of Chicago When I go to a game at any of the other 29 ballparks I'll have fun actually paying attention to the game.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:53 AM) True Blood and Curb were both just average. Saving Entourage for tonight. Yeah, couple good moments with Curb but definitely the worst of the season. I loved the "I'm going to be the Edmund Hillary of s***ting where you eat" line though
  21. Some fun UEFA qualifying groups came out of that too. Group A has Croatia/Serbia as favorites but the door is open there for Belgium/Scotland Group B totally wide open with Italy, Denmark and Czech Republic, plus you can toss Bulgaria in there Germany is in group C with Sweden and Ireland. Can you believe the Germans have lost 2 WCQ matches ever. Yes, ever. Group D is Netherlands Group E is very weak with Norway, Slovenia and Switzerland as the only quality teams Portugal/Russia will battle in F Group G is another weak one with Greece, Slovakia and Bosnia as the three top teams Group H will be fun. England is obviously the favorite but they are paired with Montenegro, who is rapidly improving and in the midst of a great Euro qualifying campaign. Ukraine and Poland will also make it tough. And then Group I, where France will again have to advance through the head to head as Spain will win that group As for CONCACAF, the US got a pretty nice draw which should be an easy route to the Hex. Antigua could surprise and make it through and then hopefully Grenada can stave off Guatemala just so we can avoid making another trip down there
