    The Office

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 27, 2007 -> 11:43 AM) I've never seen 30Rock but I know its a really accredited show (gets a lot of great reviews and everything). But I'm all about Scrubs, ER, Earl, and the Office. IMO, 30 Rock is hysterical. I love that show. The writing by Tina Fey is great. And despite my dislike for the guy, Alec Baldwin is very funny in the show. Thursday is my favorite night of tv in the fall (Office, 30 Rock, Earl, ER). Although come January i'm gonna love mondays again (Prison Break + 24) and despite only one show on wednsedays (Lost), that show itself makes the entire night worth waiting for (and if they bring that wednesday night summer show Traveler back it'd be even better...i thought that was a ery interesting show).
  2. Micah's at it again. Arizona/Pittsburgh is currently in a delay in the 6th but Owings has a 4 hit shutout going right now. Oh, and he's also 4-4 with 3 2B, 1 R and 3 RBI. he's now hitting over .330 on the year with 4 HR and 15 RBI. (This is in ~60 ABs)
  3. 4. QUOTE(BB2ZZ @ Sep 26, 2007 -> 07:20 PM) You are strangely attracted to a portion of the site where you OBVIOUSLY are not a fan. And you have shown that you have a strange attraction to Tom Collaro in many of your posts on this site. To the point where it has become obvious anyone who doesnt praise the ground he walks on is worthy of some sort of insult becuase how dare they talk about your precious tom collaro like that.
  5. FYI, the votes are in and winning with 47% was to brand it with an asterisk and send it to Cooperstown. Send it to the HoF as is was second with 34%, sending it to outer space had 19%.
  6. I clearly see that I'm in the minority here, but i can't believe so many people feel Owens is destined for failure when all he's done since his second call up in his rookie season is continue to improve. His average has steadily climbed and is now almost .270. He has 30 SB already at a very good rate and from what people have been saying he isnt even a good base stealer (technique wise) yet. With that and his poor plate discipline at this point, for him to be doing what he is doing at least for me gives me hope that he can be a contributor on a major league team. I just dont see why everyone writes off him almost completely just because he has some holes in his game, all the while ignoring the positives he brings. I personally would not mind giving Owens a fair shot at winning a starting spot next ywear. If he sucks fine, but i feel he has at least deserved that opportunity.
  7. IMO, that 6 run 9th inning comeback, although meaningless, was pretty cool as well
  8. Looks like the chat wrap is members only, that sucks. Strange cuz the Appy league was viewable by anyone.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 25, 2007 -> 10:25 AM) Wow, six?! I said 4 or maybe 5 and most others thought less. Do you have a link to the list? I'd like to see the whole list. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prosp...res/264919.html
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) No. Garland has won 9 games and has a 4+ ERA. He won't win the GG. That's such bullsh*t too... ...because that's a very accurate statement
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 07:01 AM) I like how society mislabels things. I'm not certain what better label we can come up with, but isn't it weird that Balta would be wrong for pointing out that "non-deadly" is deadly? But pretty much anything can be considered deadly to someone though. And i also agree with those who think this kid got what he deserved. He went there with the intention of starting something. He did not plan on this being civil one bit. I have no problem with him being tasered. He was repeatedly given the opportunity to leave peacefully and he repeatedly denied that right.
  12. who's sporting the adjustable caps? us or the angels?
  13. Anyone pick up NHL 08? I just bought it for PS3 and it looks great. The game itself is hard to pick up if you use the new control scheme (you can choose classic if youd like). However, i can see with practice that you'll be able to do a ton with this skill stick. Code for new jerseys hasnt been released yet which is frustrating. Its cool how they have AHL teams and players in it though. Overall i think this is going to be a good game. i'm already glad i bought it. The new goalie mode is really fun too for something different.
  14. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Sep 11, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) Are there any decent position prospects at either GF or Bristol? Gallagher obviously had a good year, but he's 22. That's not to write him off, but it's not like a he dominated a league that was older than him... Salvador Sanchez put up great numbers but he's also almost 22 and struck out a quarter of his ABs (impressive to still sport a .340 BA) and he spent most of last year at Kanny. I'd keep an eye on Jose Martinez from Bristol. he cooled off towards the end of the year but only turned 19 in late July and already has shown power potential. I'd just keep him on the radar and see how he does next year.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Sep 12, 2007 -> 05:59 AM) It's way too early to write off Sweeney at 22. It was a down year and all, but Delmon Young wasn't meeting anyone's expectations, either. I'd rather wait and see. Exactly. He's still only 22 years old. How many 22 year olds make impacts or even start in the majors? He's been rushed at every level and hasnt been completely healthy all year. He was hitting near .300 for a good part of the season. He had a disappointing season and next year is crucial for him, but its definitely too early to give up on him or trade him while his value is low.
  16. http://music.msn.com/news/article.aspx?new...25&GT1=7702 So the substance found was ruled to of being an illegal drug (although there was marijuana and paraphenalia found) and they are still looking into how the dead dogs died but there seems to be no eveidence of dog fighting, just neglect.
  17. Guess i shouldnt be making assumptions then
  18. http://www.mp3.com/news/stories/10089.html Police also reportedly find a half pound of cocaine or methamphetamine and a cache of assault weapons along with a dozen pit bulls, inlcuding charred remnants of another... Oh, and like Vick, the original claim is he has not been there for 2 months and has had a "friend" watching the house I wonder how much attention this is going to get.

    Owen Wilson

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 12:57 AM) Kate Hudson is very, very cute. Not ugly, not gorgeous, not sexy, just... cute. I agree a lot with that. I think she has a very attractive face. Obviously, she has no chest and is too thin, but im always thought she was a very cute girl. I dont understand how anyone could think she is beyond ugly, but to each his own i guess.
  20. could anyone with a ps3 who has GRAW2 tell me how the online play is? I'm debating picking this game up, i loved the demo. Thanks
  21. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) Yeah the pk kick was pretty brutal in a close match. It was an early season match and you could tell both teams were still feeling each other out. Didnt get to see ManU this weekend, but I hear they are struggling. 0-1-2 Worst start in 15 years
  22. Beauty of a free kick, as is often the case with Beckham. He also assisted on Donovans second half goal as well.
