  1. If Nightengale wrote that second sentence, he’s full of s%*#.
  2. Damn, so Bernstein may have been wrong with his reporting. Pass on Ausmus, Bochy, Scioscia, Girardi, AJP, Harris, Maddon and Guillen. Interview Espada, Quatraro, Alomar, Jr. and Beltran.
  3. Remember when the White Sox offered Machado the most money overall? That was a knee slapper. Also, Jake Diekman is going to be an expensive DFA candidate next year. Bad resource management.
  4. Deal Sheets and pick up that bat then. Even though I like Sheets better than Vaughn.
  5. The more I see, the more I like letting Harrison go and having Gonzalez and Andrus in the infield next year. And Martin is a good addition to the staff, along with one to two good starting pitchers next year.

I remember those high school days. I made signs, shirts and even wrote on a softball to ask a girl to homecoming. And in middle school I put a rose in a girl‘s locker. As you can see, things were getting out of hand before 2022.?
  7. Then those calling for it on this board need to get that through their frustrated heads.
  8. Half of the fan base wanting a rebuild is a stretch. Even if a rebuild was in order, how would they shed these contracts instead of DFAing players like Grandal and Garcia? Why can’t people give the team one more year before advocating for a rebuild? I just don’t understand the possibility of a path towards a rebuild with this team.
  9. Even so, the manager could be hired with the intent of collaborating with the GM on those hires.
  10. Yes you will. I’m sure we will you and others making a similar statement in April and around the boards in the offseason regardless of what happens. And yes, you will all watch.
  11. Realistically, Williams and Hahn aren’t going anywhere. This is the White Sox and Jerry Reinsdorf we are talking about. However, if Bernstein’s report is indeed true, then I agree with Matt Spiegel’s assessment, they need to bring someone from outside the organization to manage the team and have the ability to pick their own coaching staff without holdovers. Yes, even Katz. Now I’m wondering who that is.
  12. I just want him to come clean with the reason that move was made. They had a bad asset they needed to move and it wasn’t going to happen at the deadline.
  13. Interesting how Leury disappeared from the lineup even though he was given a three year deal, which was mostly because of the HR against Houston last year. And that starting catcher is among the players who can f*** off. Hit some home runs and get some extra base hits instead of trying to just be the Greek God of Walks. Don’t blame your health on it either.
  14. Would you prefer that outfielder or the reliever who sucked balls that he was traded for?
  15. Now, who needs to be jettisoned to send a message and improve the team? That’s what I can’t wait to find out this offseason.
  16. f*** you Nightengale. Why bring another manager out of retirement and replace one who should never have retired? On another note, TLR presumably makes $4M annually? I wish people would stop suggesting a rebuild. It’s a dumb idea. A retool makes more sense.
  17. Joc, Clevinger and Manaea.
  18. Then I wonder what kind of coach it takes to hold players accountable. TLR isn’t that guy. I’m not sure if Renteria, Ventura or Guillen were that kind of guy either. Also, can players who are in long term contracts really be held accountable if they were to sit and be used sparingly as pinch hitters?
  19. Hold them accountable by sending those with options down. It worked with Happ and Schwarber. Why can’t it work here?
  20. I’m looking forward to cooler fall weather, trying some fall recipes like roasted vegetables and butternut squash soup, signing up for a gym again to get back into shape, having my annual “I want to leave this company after I get my bonus next spring” thoughts before they find a way to suck me in and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the midterms after reading about it for the better part of the year.
  21. Does he mean taking a step back and looking at who they are as a team, front office and ownership or does he mean another rebuild? Because I can’t see a rebuild happening. If Tony is back, what happens to this team to try and get them to the next level? Now I’m wondering if Abreu walking, targeting the right free agents for the rotation and outfield and a trade with some pieces on the roster to make changes will be enough. Off topic: Will Benetti be back next year? I think his contract allows him to work for other networks, but I wonder if he likes his Sox gig enough to stay. And I wonder if it ticks Len off at all that he has to do TV when he wants to do radio.
  22. It’s going to be at least 5-0 before I get relieved from watching my son. I’ll watch a show instead of this crap and see what happens later on. Maybe Leury will pitch.
  23. Let’s play Russian roulette. Good Jake Diekman or bad Jake Diekman. Good White Sox lineup or bad White Sox lineup in the bottom half? Red Light? Green Light?
