  1. Idk if you know, I am in this forum right now more than I'm in the main one. This is a rebuild. The players that matter are in the minors, outside of guys like Thorpe and Cannon.
  2. @WestEddy Does this not count as being positive and optimistic?
  3. I don't complain daily about most prospects. I will make a comment in support when they have a good game. I'm in this forum every day. I don't come in here and s%*# on prospects constantly, if you're getting that idea idk where that is coming from. I am reacting to that day's performance in the gamethread. Occasionally I will make a negative comment or two, but i don't think any comments I have made are particularly unreasonable.
  4. I wasn't calling people that, i was talking about the trade, right now, on 6/18/24. If you don't understand that right now meant in this very moment, on this very date, with plenty of room for improvement.........idk what to tell you and there's no reason to continue arguing with someone in bad faith. I have explained what I meant multiple times, and that I wasn't casting any final judgment on anyone. Making a comment about a snapshot in time. If you don't understand that, that's on you.
  5. It wasn't about one bad start, it was about how he looked in that one bad start. No command, mediocre fastball getting torched, etc. That was also more about Iriarte who has been pretty bad for about 5 starts now. Thorpe isn't a bad prospect, but I have questioned whether he could get away with a 91 mph fastball since the trade happened.
  6. No, of course not. Am I allowed to have concerns?
  7. It looked very good until Thorpe and Iriarte went off the rails a bit. Have been concerned about Thorpe's fastball for a while. Like I said I'm not casting final judgment on it any time soon. Do I wish that Zavala was doing better? Yeah, but I recall someone saying he had a ridiculously low babip and 19 is really young for A+
  8. It's not just about Thorpe, it's about Iriarte and Zavala too.
  9. He might be immovable right now. Nothing other teams would offer would be an acceptable package.
  10. Right now, on June 18th 2024, the Cease trade looks like hot garbage. Plenty of time for that to change. Iriarte could get his s%*# together Thorpe could get his command back and show why he was damn near unhittable in the minors Zavala is 19 in A+, so he has plenty of time.
  11. There's still time for guys to turn it around, but the Cease trade looks like hot garbage rn.
  12. When Crochet gets traded, blame Rick Hahn. This is his f*** up.
  13. This type of talent is out of Jerry's price range. If he was on another team and about to be free, Jerry would laugh at the idea of signing him just like Ohtani. If Crochet stays healthy over the next 2.5 seasons, he's going to get one of the largest pitching FA deals as a 27 year old. You know how rare a 27 year old ace hitting FA is? Almost never happens.
  14. Pitching Ninja had a Crochet target practice video, he's really good at hitting his spots.
  15. Crochet doesn't walk anyone(shocker) He has a better K/BB than Sale in 2014.
  16. Me thinks Sox fans overvalued Cease. They got a fair deal.
  17. He averaged 91.8 mph in his first start and 90.6 mph today. That's a huge difference. Combine that with s%*# control, and you get 7 ER in 3.1 innings.
