  1. Vargas needs a haircut. His crazy hair with his hat on makes him look like Krusty the Clown. 🤣
  2. You mean other GM’s don’t trade nice prospects for projects at the deadline to help them win the division?
  3. Pham is going to save the day.
  4. Schriffen is such a jinx. Just did it to Mune.
  5. Jeebus, dude is hitting rockets.
  6. Jo Adell would have been the dumbest acquisition ever. I would have even called out Getz for making such a trade.
  7. Ray Ray just cried a little there.
  8. The Schriffdawg just pulled a Hawk / Benetti. He bussed far too soon on that deep flyout by Colson.
  9. “NOOOOOO BUDDY!!!”
  10. It was 3-0 when I ran out to take care of some chores and I come back to a 5-3 game. WTF?
  11. Bonemer’s Baseball Ballsack Bible. Order it now for $29.95 at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
  12. The Sox are in the playoff hunt right now. There is no guarantee that the Sox will be in this same position next season. That’s why the trade already looks terrible. Also, Castillo is only here for one more expensive year. There’s no way to shine this turd of a trade.
  13. They definitely don’t want his ass back.
  14. Wow, this Hannah has to be the worst baseball writer I’ve seen, just based on this one article. Look at some of these excerpts below. Pham is the starting right fielder? Even if he platoons with Montgomery, he would likely be the weak side platoon mate facing lefties. Not sure I would consider that a starter. Also, she is bemoaning not giving a 28-year old catcher in Charlotte a chance. Those are worse moves than the Castillo trade? Really? “Pham’s signing brings a twist no one saw coming: He’s now the starting right fielder for a team headed to the playoffs.” “Two more front office decisions will haunt Chicago this year: Refusing to give Michael Turner a chance, and keeping Noah Schultz in a starter role. Hiding Turner in Triple-A despite him outhitting Korey Lee, Kyle Teel and Edgar Quero is detrimental to the Sox’s reputation and Turner’s self-esteem.”
  15. I don’t think this is true. I lived in Downers Grove and Darien and there are a lot more Sox fans in the area than you are proposing with your Cubs fan percentage.
  16. Yep, Peters is only 26. Could be Getz’s best acquisition of all time.
  17. I just wish Getz would have learned from his predecessors in Kenny and Hahn and all of their acquisitions trying to squeeze one last drop of performance out of players nearing retirement. Stop acquiring old fucks. It almost never works out. Admittedly, it did work with Grichuk with his extreme splits against lefties. However, baseball is a young man’s game.
  18. Best @caulfield12 post of all time. Absolutely shredded. Not a fan of the deadline moves, but let’s hope everything goes well going forward. Someone get Castillo and Doyle some PED’s. 😶
  19. Don’t worry. Once all of Getz’s great deadline trades pan out, the Sox will hit whatever win total WestEddy changes his prediction to.
  20. Any chance in hell Castillo leaves $23.75 million on the table and retires?
  21. Well, you and @Chicago White Sox were right that Getz needed to acquire a second starter but he was too worried about only acquiring players with additional year(s) of control instead of rentals.
  22. He would have been better than TLR. That’s for sure.
