  1. Why the hell did he try to tag from 2nd on a fly ball hit to the CF.
  2. They do. It still hurts like hell though when you get hit there, especially a pitcher throwing heat at you from 5 feet away.
  3. I don't care what the score is, down by 10, up by 10, whatever, if you know the call on the field is wrong then you challenge the call. That's part of being competitive. It's not classless, it doesn't go against some stupid unwritten "rule", it's the right thing to do. As a player I'd want my manager making that call every time.
  4. Just don't try to kill the ball Meidroth.
  5. This was started in February and they asked 100 players from 23 teams. That is an extremely small sample size. And the quote about the video room sounds like something that particular player heard about years ago and doesn't align with how things are today.
  6. Love when we beat Cleveland.
  7. Quero needs to play everyday or as close to that as possible. With him struggling the last thing he needs is to be sitting on the bench 5-6 days a week.
  8. lol Stone not remembering a Hawkism.
  9. Because at this point in time it isn't. People just want to make declarations so that a year or 2 from now they can show everyone that they were right. Does it seem that they are drafting and developing better? Yes. When players come up they don't appear to be overmatched. They aren't being asked to do things they aren't comfortable with which indicates coaches at all levels are doing better jobs. All the pieces are there to have the arrow pointing up at this time. They just need to win and prove it now.
  10. 1st place Chicago White Sox. After the first 2 weeks of the season I didn't think I'd be saying that this year let alone early June. This is awesome.
  11. I can't see them overtaking Cleveland in the division.
  12. I am enjoying this team for what it is right now - ahead of schedule and still continuing to grow as a team. There are still holes on the roster and the depth isn't quite there yet even though the farm is in a much better place. This is a fun team to watch and root for and has actually made me excited for baseball again. But this team isn't winning the division this year. I fully expect them to be in WC contention all year due to the state of the AL as a whole. I don't see this team falling off a cliff and going through a long losing streak but they will struggle at times. It's going to be a fun summer of White Sox baseball.
  13. And took a pitch off the inside of his left knee last night.
  14. They started the season 6-13. The culture will be fine if they stumble a bit.
  15. Went to the game, my first time this year. Did my old trick of buying an upper deck ticket and then finding a spot in the 100 level to sit. Got lucky and had a great spot 8 rows off the field just past 3rd base. That might be the last time I get to do that on a weekend. Obviously had a blast at the game and the atmosphere in the park was electric. I think the dudes with the shirts off thing is dumb, but they were having a blast and that energy just added to the atmosphere. That catch by Ant in the 8th was awesome to see live. I've been very anti-JR these last few years; didn't go to a game in 23 or 24 and only went once last year on the day they had the Aparicio bobblehead giveaway. But I had a blast yesterday and this team is just fun to watch and root for. I'll definitely get to a few more games this year.
