Elias will never have to worry about getting a Trader Mike or Mississippi River Boat Gambler moniker. He still has his Pokemon cards and is convinced he is sitting on a gold mine.

Crochet wants an extension to pitch in the playoffs
Falstaff replied to southsider2k5's topic in Trade Winds 2024
Down the road Crochet not getting traded at the trading deadline might turn out to to be the best thing that happened. -
I can't help but think of the Munchkins when Benintendi name comes up. "We represent the Lollipop Guild The Lollipop Guild, the Lollipop Guild And in the name of the Lollipop Guild We wish to welcome you to White Sox Land"

Would Crochet take security from the Sox, let's say next 4 years $60 million? The thought of : Crochet, Smith , Schultz, Thorpe , Cannon , and a group of young strong arm starters converted to the pen is appealing. I know, I know they don't have the positional players and bats , work on it. -
Great pitching breakdown with Brian Bannister

The last hitting guru the was the real deal that I can think of was Charlie Manuel. I hope the Sox can hold onto Bannister. -

Did anyone break the news to Pedro that he will not be able to use Crochet in the playoffs this year? -

Keep Crochet and work on an extension, if Getz can't get one then trade him at 2025 trade deadline. In the meantime, fire Pedro today. -

The Rate is going to need a complete power washing , top to bottom , after the season -

The only thing to look forward to after the trade deadline is call ups. Not sure if was a podcast or on the board here at Soxtalk, but it was mentioned to keep the young players/call ups away from Pedro and any influence he has left. Do we want Pedro molding future White Sox ballplayers? hell no. -
Cubs likely to be sellers; Acquire Pearson from Jays
Falstaff replied to WhiteSox2023's topic in Trade Winds 2024
The Cubs bullpen has been a dumpster fire so far this season. They do have good starting pitching and some decent bats when healthy. Madrigal is still on the Cubs. Codi Heuer doesn't show up in the majors or minors for 2024. Craig Kimbrel with the Cubs in 2021 - 0.49 era, whip 0.49 Craig Kimbrel with the Sox in 2021 - 5.09 era, whip 1.217 Things have been a disaster for the Sox since that trade. At the time of the trade, I thought the addition of Kimbrell would put the Sox over the top for the WS. -
Thorpe looks like a seasoned pro on the mound , what a gem.

Wilson, Baldwin, Chuckie up, Soroka to IL, Maldy out
Falstaff replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Quero gave Chuckie props for all the help down in Charlotte. Robinson is a good dude, who knows , he might get into coaching down the line. -
My bad on Bonemer, I knew I heard Boras's name though, McLain it is.
-
The sun rises, the sun sets, the Sox bullpen blows another game. Pedro will not get fired by Jerry but will will serve as Reinsdorf's butler/driver/gofer for the final year of his contract.
-
Hagen Smith should be a fast riser up through the system. I would love to see what they can do with the flamethrower out of USF.
-
I thought I heard last night that Bonemer's agent is Scott Boras.....cha-ching!!

Do the Sox have all their draft picks signed now with the exception of Bailey at #20? Let the tape measured bombs from Miller-Green commence.

You are a chip of the old block! Great story, the best part is your dad is doing better now. The Sox will turn this mess around and you will both be celebrating again.
-
Best memories: Taking Dad to the 2003 All Star game. Taking Dad, brothers, and brother-in-law to Game 2 2005 against the Angels. Going to all the 2005 playoffs and WS at the Cell. Most fun season: 1972 Greatest ballplayer memories: Dick Allen's MVP season was the greatest single season I have witnessed by a White Sox or Cub.

The story you are about to read is true, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

It doesn't make any sense how bad the offense has been. They could run a Spring Training squad out there and put up more runs.

The injury might explain his drop off from being pretty solid. When I hear of a shoulder injury for a pitcher I cringe, hopefully Jordan comes back strong.
