QUOTE(southsideirish @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) I don't trust it either way. Damn, 9 teams are a lot. Which 9? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LSU, MSU, OSU, Gonzaga, Ill, Iowa, Florida, UNC, Nevada.

Everything right but Montana (Nevada was really talked up) and Witchita State.

Walker whined about playing time with Grudz at second back in 2004. IIRC he opened his mouth up and had some issues in both Cincy and Colorado. He supposedly Hendry before the offseason not to pick up his option if he planned on trading him before the season. I can only imagine what he's going to say if he gets traded to the O's.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) uugh dont say that. i dont want KW under the microscope again for sending damaged goods in a trade. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well his other arm is ok isn't it?

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) I don't trust either one to cover those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So take the points. I'm trying your advice and am doing a 9 team parlay with all the s***ty money lines.

Some of these first round #1 seed spreads don't look too bad. Texas -14.5, Memphis -12.5.

Nunez in now to get that run charged to LOOGY Logan. -
Sox are 29th in the MLB ins ST BA. Astros are 30th. D'Backs as a team: .371/.442/.600 Eh, who cares?

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) If there's one guy in a Diamondbacks uniform I could ever seen on this team in 2006, it's Orlando El Duque Hernandez in a deadline acquisition. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? The guy with a bloated salary who was called out by both KW and Ozzie last year for missing his starts???
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) I expect a deal with Oakland in the next few days. Just a hunch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What does Oakland's 1B situation look like in the minors? Would they be interested in Rogowski?

How about "There's no f***ing 'S' in my last name?"

QUOTE(The Human Borch @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 06:11 PM) I've been looking for a picture of Dr. Dre in a white sox hat for a long time. So if anyone could find one that would be great. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kanye wore a 1934 Sox jacket in the "Through the wire" video as well.

Well Crazyman26 just lost another excuse why Rex won't be the starter. :rolly Is he banned from talkbears.com too?

Happy Pi day!

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Updates? Who has wet the bed aside from Willis? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I saw Wheeler was charged with 3 ER, probably all from Hee Flop Choi's homer. 7-1 bottom of the 7th.

While I'm on the ex-Sox kick, how about Antonio Osuna? (Not homefish, the guy with the ugly mug.)

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) I base my thinking about Politte looking at his career and as for what I would get for him, I would have to see what was available for a guy coming off a great season not making a ton of money. I was also a guy who was nuts wanting KW to trade Shingo the winter of 2004, when they could have gotten something for him. Look at Cotts numbers? Do you really think its fair to expect the same? I like Cotts and think he will be good, but he'll probably give up a few more runs this season. I have made no claims about getting rid of Cotts. Barring injury, he will be in the White Sox rotation in a couple of years. Maybe Buerhle's replacement if he goes to St. Louis. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Trade Cliff for what? How would trading Cliff help this team repeat? Anybody know what Scott Sullivan is up to? I'm surprised nobody has brought up Wunsch's name yet.

QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) I still think williamson is available. I know what the Cubs say no in the press, but I think its to get the asking price higher. The cubs have a few arms this year in the pen. Love to give them back gload. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why would the Cubs want a guy who's out of options? Hendry is trying to re-sign Derrek Lee as well. I'm hoping Ozzie manages this pitching staff like he did in the ALCS. MAybe not having them throw 9 innings each outing, but 7+ would be ideal.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Thanks guys much appreciated. Last time I took the tollways it took me 3.5 hours to get to Plainfield from the IL border. Insanity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? What time of the day was this?

I did an auction league for the first time with 9 other guys who had never done it before. It turns out there was a ton of overpaying in the early rounds, so I cleaned up pretty well at the end. 5 x 5 league Eric Chavez $25 Ryan Freel $6 Eric Chavez $16 Miguel Tejada $32 Vladamir Guerrero $41 Grady Seizmore $24 Jeremey Hermida $4 Jim Thome $12 Jonny Gomes $3 Eddie Guardado $3 Carlos Guillen $1 Brian Fuentes $2 Craig Biggio $2 Ryan Zimmerman $3 Josh Willingham $1 Ben Sheets $20 Brad Rake $4 Barry Zito $11 Tim Hudson $9 BJ Ryan $15 Armando Benetiz $4 Francisco Lariano $4 Javier Vasquez $8 I think I did pretty well. I was not aware of Sheets' injury however.

I could see them having Chef "sell out" again and just give him a white man's voice.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) Actually I'm thinking a college board may be the next venture (after the Bulls site). Both Notre Dame and Illini would be solid starts. Do you guys know if there is a lot of competition in that regards? Ie, are there good Illini or Fighting Irish sites out there? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not do a Big Ten forum with sub forums for each team?

Looks like an older version of Roy Halladay.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 11:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They also seem fit to put it in the White Sox section. It's a sports story afterall. I haven't seen it yet on www.chicagosports.com, but when he was originally arrested again it popped up when you went to the White Sox section.
