They have quite a few levers to create material cap space, some of which just require minor moves around JJ and Edmunds contract (not even getting rid of them). And if they also have ability to make tweaks to Moore's as well (or trade him). Kmet has some flexibility in his deal too (or ability to trade). JJ same way. Than in another year - they have flexibility in terms of Jarett and the Colts guy being far more moveable, plus Edmunds deal coming off the books, so it isn't as if they are just pushing chips out a year.

I absolutely think this is fair. I would have done that for Abdul Carter. Maybe I would have regretted it given some of the leadership challenges he's faced, but he is an elite level talent and while I acknowledge there is always risk getting an unknown player, the value of that contract is not lost on me. Quite frankly - I almost prefer it, knowing what we are trying to accomplish here and if you do it right, you could trade up for a high end 1st round end and at the same time give a 2 year deal to Hendrickson.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
I'm excited...would be nice if they had a few more solid moves - even if it meant signing a player or two to decent money that could be good flip candidates. It isn't like losing really helps the club this upcoming season given they can't pick in the top 10.

I was completely against a Parson's, Garrett, Crosby move last year...this off-season it has to be on the table for the right offer. I also expect JJ and Moore to be potential "sweetener's" in such a trade. I don't like losing draft capital and clearly the most draft friendly route is to find a way to Hendrickson in - but coming off injury and being older, there is obviously some risk there, but Bears absolutely can move cap money around to make it happen and I am expecting they make a splash. That said - I'm also fine if they move up in the draft a bit and opt for a different route - but they got to find a way to address the pass rush. Fun place to be for sure and I'm just going to enjoy this one day and one game at a time! House money this year - keep the ride rolling!!!

It was crazy that they didn’t rule forward progress was stopped on that play. That would have been an even crazier ending than the Seahawks / Bears games had there not been a penalty on Lions

It was awful. Oklahoma stunk most of the year and beat a good but not great Bama team as their lone win. But all are better than a Tulane or Madison. Now if they earn it great, by all means…but neither of those teams deserved any place in this dance.

I can’t get over how nice that catch and throw were and I’m hoping one thing that comes from Rome going down is it helped get DJ and Caleb in a better place and when everyone gets back, we see another step forward. Caleb still has plenty of warts but even with those warts he’s already pretty good looking and these warts are treatable…he’s going to be a superstar if he keeps putting in the work and partnering with this coaching staff.

Nevermind. But can still make a qualifying offer after 2 years if he is good and or trade him. Or with new owner, if he’s great you sign him. And if this doesn’t work out…just 2 years m.

This was my question? Do Sox still have him go through arbitration or is he a true UFA after)? Excited for this move though - love taking a shot here on a young international bat!

Don’t get why people hating on ND. Bama and OU didn’t look good either but was at least entertaining. Having Tulane and James Madison in this ruined the entire week one. Total trash

Wow - wasn’t pretty and thought Ben was out coached but Caleb had his best throws in the end. Was a real weird game - they didn’t adjust well to the blitzes and just got too cute at times but crazy they pulled that out! Still need to win one more in regular season but man I hope Lions lose tomorrow haha

This would excite me. Maybe he doesn’t pan out but I love the idea of the move.

Diplomat is awesome and you are right on Ozark…so good but lost its marbles at end. A couple episodes in - landman is outstanding.

I think BJ is an excellent coach - but the online was significantly upgraded year over year. 4 out of 5 new starters with 2 of those new starters being tops in their position in pro bowl voting right now (Thunder and Dalman).

Huge beat down and they probably left 3-10 more points out there due to mis field goal and a few drops. Very nice win against a bad team, but a very good defense.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
This is huge - real great news. Top pick plus extra pool money to get added high end talent. They have a lot of work to do still but this is a real positive!

I completely agree - he has plenty to work on…but I didn’t see a lot of the 0-6 start necessarily him not executing but offense as a whole getting worked. I think 3 of those were throwaways and 1 a drop by Loveland. He’s the qb so it starts with him but Packers pass rush was real and this was a great test for Bears. He had Kmet too - was right read too late (and bad ball too - good ball and probably a TD…especially if he threw on time). Bottom line he still has a lot to keep working on and I hope after playing a few great Ds ( and browns D is pretty good too) that we see him and offense grow. Chiefs just scored 10 against Texans and made Mahomes look like a fool quite a bit. I want to see Caleb and offense come out and light the Browns up!

I don’t know that much of that was on Caleb. Maybe a throw or two - but packers were in his face almost every play. Bears seemed to regroup at halftime and come up with a better plan. That Packers D is no joke - it’s elite.

This - but they went toe to toe with them in the 2nd half and got very close. Not good enough…time to get back to work and keep grinding. Let’s go 1-0 vs brown. Was Kyler out or did he get hurt? I don’t recall seeing him at any point (I didn’t have volume on most of game)

How when two teams don’t play and no common opponents play the committee can re order is just sad. I won’t argue one over the other but for weeks it was one way and Notre Dame was by far visually better team for last handful of weeks. Committee is awful - but no surprise. And by the way if Miami was above them the past 4 weeks and it went the opposite I’d say the same thing. Bama got smashed and barely beat Auburn and somehow moved up over 2 weeks.

Official NBA 25-26 Thread
It sucks so bad that two of my three favorite professional teams are literally owned by a bottom 5 owner across those sports. Honestly I think what is happening with Bulls is even worse than Sox. Bulls generate revenue and are a flagship franchise yet they have basically just stayed in NBA purgatory for past 7 years. How much longer do we have to put up with this s%*#…so sad and pathetic.

This - a split goes a long way to getting Bears in the playoffs. A sweep and things get a lot tougher, cause they need at least 2 wins. A sweep and I think division becomes legit opportunity. I'm very nervous going into this - but so excited Beras are at this point and I think we have to remember there can be some growing pains as they now work on trying to really beat the very good teams in this league. With that said - lets go!!!
