  1. Hopefully whatever the injury is - it doesn't prevent Turner from putting in the work in the off-season to make real strides. The reality is I think Loveland and Burton will be good players (just bad use of picks relative to the Bears / broader needs / value) while Trapillo at least looks like could play the part at RT (but clearly not an LT) which drives the same question around need / team fit.
  2. Heads is smiling at this from heaven
  3. It comes down to not getting TDs in red zone. Been a problem for 3-4 weeks and it’s the penalties, execution, maybe play calling a bit and Caleb struggling when the field gets tight - but it isn’t anyone thing, but a bunch. Had Bears finished first two drives I bet this is a very different football game.
  4. The problem is the Bears secondary against Joe with those wideouts is a bad combo. But god these penalties are so bad. Caleb just has to let loose - feels like he is playing too cautious. Just thinking too much.
  5. Caleb needs to be better - the offense has to be better. Defense I’ll give a partial pass due to the db injured but Poles wasted picks everywhere.
  6. At the same time - they aren’t even passing in the red zone. Too many penalties, too many mistakes - not good enough. They left a lot of points on field and got their asses handed to them.
  7. Bears are screwed with all these injuries to the secondary. This could be an ugly one. If they win with all these injuries, it might be the best win they’ve had in 5 plus years.
  8. Ravens blew a lead to the Ravens and lost to some other very good teams (when Lamar was qb)…they are crap without Lamar but they are going to be very healthy and I expect to get our asses whooped. They may not make the playoffs due to circumstances but this is the best 1-5 team in the history of football as that record is more reflective of injuries and early season quality of opponent as it is reflective of who they are.
  9. He didn’t play in rhythm but he was pretty clean in 2nd half when he needed to be. But they got to get more points and Rome had two drops, the bad OPI but there were more than a few where he could have just taken easy play and didn’t. Looked like he was just struggling to play in rhythm . They got work to do - want to see how he responds - I think BJ is going to be all over him this week in practice. But those bad snaps and false starts don’t help either. Defende played well! Running game was strong 💪
  10. That call was awful.
  11. I would not buy unless you really thought a steal was there or just a complete game wrecker type player with a very long term outlook. This team is not a player away so now is absolutely not right time. Quite frankly if Kmet or Jones had value I might assess it. I probably would have said the same for DJ Moore but I think that is a year away. I don’t like the Kmet part cause just like Trapillo using high picks on guus that don’t really have major roster needs (or even fits is just not smart). TE early and a RT (on paper Trapillo looks like a fine fit at RT - but when you already have a top 10 pick there who they don’t seem to think he can be at LT) just isn’t the right use relative to other needs.
  12. How about Braxton Jones for Kaleb Johnson.
  13. I want to see Caleb and Bears just earn it by continuing to improve and getting themselves to the point that they have earned the respect - period.
  14. This is very well said - the area I still have a lot of reservations with is Poles and the personnel department. Very little faith in them at this point in terms of how roster constructed, use of capital, free agency etc. I really hope we look back by end of the year and are seeing a much better product and looking at a number of his picks standing out and other moves starting to look better.
  15. I would pass on making a splash - keep the draft capital and wait for next year unless you think you get real value/long term difference maker. They are too far away to blow it all now.
  16. These never get old!
  17. A win is a win - hope DJ is ok. Huge props for D and for Swift!
  18. This year feels like outside of maybe 1-2 teams, it is anyone’s race. Tons of parody in college football which are words I don’t think I’ve ever said.
  19. Heck of a game
  20. Was really hoping. Packers got super lucky there.
  21. Road win - ugly but a win. Caleb with the come from behind victory and he played pretty good at the end - stepped up a lot and used his legs when it mattered. The drops and penalties were costly and Caleb had a few he’d like back as well - but man much nicer going into bye week pulling that out - but with very clear stuff to still work on. Lers get some players back after the bye and keep on growing!
  22. Bright side is Minny and Lions are 2-1 and showed they are pretty good. Or at very least Vikings D showed they are very good.
  23. That was fun. Still stuff to clean up but more progress and a ton of big plays. That was fun!!! Let’s hope they keep growing!
