QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) ^^^ I can't fall asleep without a TV on either... I need that or a radio. Something to just help ya unwind before you pass out.
  2. Last year this was one of the best places to talk the draft and hopefully it will be even better this year Special thanks to Addy for setting this up and maintaining it. He did an awesome job last year and I'm sure we'll see more of the same.

  4. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) two questions: 1) do you know what knowledge is? 2) do you know how to use it? One answer: No

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) You should look at the used books on amazon.com in the future. I've found that their used books usually cost half of what they charge for used books at the campus bookstores. Or see if you can find international editions. Those bad boys are dirt cheap. But last semester I was able to buy two brand new books for dirt cheap on amazon and when I sold them back to my school, they actually paid me $5 more than I paid for 1 book and $2.50 more than i paid for another book. It was the 1st time I ever beat the school at anything. Of course they are still mega up on me for all those freaking books they refuse to buy back because new editions are out.

Uh oh. Your guys are all weird deaths: You suffer a massive heart attack while home alone. You collapse to the ground, only to be found dead hours later.
  7. I bought OffSpring Smash and Green Day Dookie right around the same day. I think Offspring Smash was the 1st. And SNB, sadly, that Batman Forever Cd was purchased by myself as well
  8. Congrats Steff

  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) Interesting choices there. Polley would be awesome and Peterson would be even better but I think Peterson would be too expensive and Hillenmeyer is probably going to get resigned. Aaron Brooks will get a starting job somewhere IMO. I don't think Brooks gets a starting nod and I think thats exactly the type of guy the Bears look at. Plus if I were a backup I wouldn't mind the Bears job at all simply because while you know Rex is the guy, you also know he's injury prone. Plus you know if you do get the starting nod, you have some offensive weapons and a defense that can really help ya out.
  12. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) I'm not even in the boat that thinks Peyton is a choker in the playoffs. This is the first year he has had an above average defense playing with him, and just got beat today by a very hot team that has won 29 games over the past two years. Peyton will be fine, if the Colts can draft a good CB and keep the rest of the D around, there's no reason the Colt's shouldn't win 12 or more games again next year and be as good as anyone. The D-Line is awesome, the LB's are solid, and the safeties are about as good as it gets tandem wise, but they could use a speedy CB to solidify the D. I think Tye Hill, Kelly Jennings, or Richard Marshall would be an excellent addition in the draft. As for their draft position, its because they have the best record of any team not in the super bowl, so they have the 3rd worst pick in the league, unless Seattle doesn't make the super bowl, then I'm not sure if it would take a coin flip to judge the 29th/30th slot between Seattle and Indy. Seattle won in head to head so they are thought of as the better team or so I'd think. That would mean the Colts would either be 29 or 30 and not officially 30 (or at least thats how I'd think it works).
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) I'm reading the Colts locked up the 30th spot....how exactly does that work? They have the best record of the two non super bowl teams, therefor the two super bowl teams pick 31 and 32 (32 being the superbowl winner).
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) WR-Moose WR-FA WR-Bradley WR-Berrian WR-Currie I have no confidence in Gage if I'm a Bears fan. Well I do, but not more than I would watching Wade. You can't expect Bradley to pick up where he left off this year. I think Randle-El or Brandon Lloyd or bust. They need someone who could get YAC. No one on this team is capable of that or at least hasn't shown it. This team is 1 playmaker on offense and defense away from doing something big. Why would I have no confidence in Gage. He isn't asked to be a star. He did a solid job once Rex came back into the picture. Berrian and Bradley will be the 2 and 3's with Gage as a 4 and someone like Randle El joining them as a special teams player and a guy that comes in when you need a big play (because of this reasoning, I don't see us getting Randle El, but rather drafting a speedy special teams type player in rds 3-5).
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) This all started when Gage predicted that Colts win. I had to go and say the Bears would win. And I'm usually wrong when it comes to the Bears..... So blame Gage. Nah, this was inevitable. Our defense got caught up and believed the hype. Its a great defense, but not a legendary defense. It takes legendary defenses to win a superbowl with our offense. I knew we didn't have that, but the way our offense played today we should have won, rather handily too.
  16. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Damn I'm so f***ing tired I could easily fall asleep just sitting here. I was so pumped up I punched multiple holes in the wall today. I can't remember being to jacked for a game I was out of my mind. Sweating all game, running around my basement like a God damn fool. Felt like I was stabbed in the heart when that game ended. At least the future is bright. Anger Management Classes....think about taking some Seriously I get pissed, but putting holes threw a wall. I gave up on that late in the Sox season when I punched the wall and broke and must have broken some small bone in my hand cause it was black and blue for a freaking week. It was weird too cause I've calmed down a lot over the years.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) Hopefully, because this is getting tired. As my friend said after today: "Don't get addicted/attatched to a sport team. Because every time they lose, a little part of you dies." So true, but I foolishly, I will never heed that advice. I had already prepared myself for a loss in the post-season. I thought a lot of things would have to go our way to win it all, so I'm not at all shocked. I think in all the pre game talk I laughed at the notion that people thought we were the dominate team. We have a lot to work on still, but are right in a period where we should compete for a superbowl starting next year and I have faith in Angelo keeping us competetive and in that period for a good number of years.
  18. I freaking love 24. If you guys can't find the actual episodes tell me and I'll try and type of a semi decent post explaining it. *Spoiler alert (from the 1st episode for those that may have DVR'd it but not yet watched it)* Kap, I guess I can explain the 1st 10 minutes for ya, but you didn't miss anything aside from actually seeing President Palmer's death and the killing of Almada's wife and he is badly injured in a car bombing.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jan 14, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Skype makes it really easy to get player or other interviews too. I think that would be awesome if he has the time to pull it off. That sounds cool. I'm actually getting ready to put together a radio show with Mario (Molto) and would love to be able to do that sort of stuff. You got a link that would explain how I could do it? And ya, I just started using podcasts about a week ago. I like em
  20. Ya, torrents rock. On a sidenote, if someone ever could find a way to put up episodes on a database I bet they could make good money on them (keep the commercials in them and make it where people can't skip over them...so the sponsors are happy and willing to support it). DVR's probably make it less likely for something like this to happen, but I still think it would be nice.
  21. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) True leaders my butt, true leaders know when the close their mouth and keep it inside the locker room. Let the coaches blast your fellow players when deserved. Any buffoon can run their mouth to the press ala Terrell Owens, and it never has done any good. Pittsburgh didn't put an abnormal amount of pressure on Indy, its been the same all season long, 6-7 are coming after the QB 75% of the time. This was the quote I was speaking of anyways... "we had protection problems" Oh poor Peyton, only had a QB rating of 103.395 for the game with "protection problems". He must be superman. Peyton was sacked 11.6% of his passing opportunities, Ben was sacked 7.7% of the time including 4 screen plays where a sack is almost impossible, both QB's were harrassed all game long. Ben ended up with a huge welt on his throwing arm from Mathis and Freeney, and apparently Peyton ended up with a sore vagina. Peyton also looked completely lost for an entire half. And he was screaming at his WR's when it was his own damn fault.
  22. When did he break his hand? Was it on the last play of the game or on that diving catch near the sidelines? I like Mush, unlike most Bears fans, but I think a lot of people are being way too reactionary.
  23. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Agreed on Tillman and Briggs. But as far as the rest of your post... WTF?!? Urlacher was one of the only guys to show up. Plus he had some sick tackles in that game.
  24. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) I do. He was always good for getting burnt once a game for a deep ball and today when it counted he was absolutely torched. Whoever said that Tillman is living off those 2 Minny games was spot on. He's TOTALLY overrated. That was me that said those things and I've been saying them for a long time about Tillman. That said he's not near as bad as everyone says he is. He isn't a shut down corner but he's a good to solid #2.
  25. Don't get too harsh on Tillman. He had a s***ty game, but I don't want to see him gone.
