  1. Bray is a future closer in this league, but the rest is pretty much terrible. The Red's got hosed, and its not because all the name power in this deal. It's because the best player involved thats coming to Cincinatti, Bill Bray, might not pan out while Kearns and Lopez are excellent players. I can't see the Reds trading Griffey or Dunn now.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WTF just happened? Tim Kurkchin (that's a terrible spelling) and Orel Hersheiser both just picked the White Sox to win the World Series on Sportscenter. They were both quite certain too. East coast bias! :sleep
  3. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be cool...but I think Dye and Konerko will end up with low 40s. And Crede with 30. Think about that...50, 40, 40, and 30 on one team...and scatter in a couple 20. That's a powerful ball club.
  4. He'll most likely get there if he plays, but as you know, nobody's guaranteed there health from day to day. Just ask Carlos Zambrano.
  5. You just turn to the channels, on my comcast the 460-470 channels.
  6. Since when did the NHL adopt the Innings system?
  7. I couldn't live without MLB Extra Innings.
  8. Imagine trading Freddy Sanchez, a short stop, a position that many Red Sox fans want an upgrade at, for Jeff Suppan. ...or Edgar Renteria, Nomar Garciaparra, and David Eckstein. It's kind of comical to think about.
  9. That's what I was thinking, similar to a straw type sucking motion, it can't be good.
  10. I've wondered the same thing. You'd think Olney wouldn't mention it on the radio without being all over it on one of his blog write-ups.
  11. I completely disagree with what Madison said. Blasphemy, I tell you, blasphemy! Shouldn't she be banned?
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats what got me, that and I went to a sox game and tried to eat peanuts...bad move. Oh yeah, and smoking is a major no no. Why is smoking such a no/no? That kind of confused me. I don't smoke, but going to parties and bars regularly, I'm around it. I also just got back from the oral surgeon. Another dry socket. I only got the bottoms taken out, and even though it took three months, both became infected and got dry socket. It's incredible, it truly is. My surgeon said that he hadn't seen somebody get dry socket in both bottom sides in sixteen years and never in his practice has he seen someone get a dry socket 2-3 months after the surgery was completed. Just goes to show you how impacted my wisdom teeth were. Be thankful, my man (Heads), you lucked out.
  13. It became infected because I hit the weights too early, and then I'm going to get it checked out to see what happened here again today, because I can't go around looking like an idiot, not that I don't normally. Hopefully it's nothing, but odds are its an infection, probably from food, which sucks because I use the plunger after every meal. I don't understand, I really don't. I can't win for losing with these damn teeth. Oh yeah, Rock, the gauze in the hole is painful as hell.
  14. I was put to sleep, and was in complete disarray upon awakening. I don't remember, but my mom said I couldn't stand up, was drooling on myself from the novacane, etc. Like I said, my experience, entirely was horrible, and it will continue this afternoon when I meet with him again. I hate this. I wish I had your surgeon.
  15. By the way, Heads. I told you, going in thinking it was going to be the worst, was the attitude to have. Ha.
  16. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <-----------------4 dry sockets Thats tough. I feel your pain, sort of.
  17. I'm really jealous. I had the worst experience, was in mass amounts of pain when they were taken out about two months ago. Then two weeks ago, I woke up with my face all swollen. Went in, had to get more s*** done, and then woke up this morning with my other side swollen. I feel like breaking something.
  18. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How in the f*** does Bronson Arroyo enter into this discussion? Liriano is a HOF caliber pitcher. Arroyo has 3rd or 4th starter talent. Great example. It's impossible to ignore his potential, but to even mention Liriano and the Hall of Fame in the same sentence after starting only fourteen games in his career, is absolutely disgusting. Get real. Haha.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 09:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didnt accuse you of anything dude. I put Ryan in there instead of Liriano. Read more closely. I was guessing on blown saves, the rest are totally accurate. Ryan has been a better reliever and closer this season. I just don't think its that clear cut. Agree to disagree.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 08:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What was faulty about my stats? Ryan has been better in those three categories, sorry bout it. The statistics I listed were entirely accurate, you chose to add in whose blown more saves and in the process of accusing me of posting false statistics, which wasn't true in the least, you posted one less blown save for Papelbon than you should have.
  21. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 12:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try to keep up with me here. Liriano is a STARTING PITCHER who damn near guarantees a victory for his team every time he takes the mound. Those triple corwn numbers are spread out over 90 innings pitched. Papelbon comes in to pitch for one freaking inning. If Liriano was on the Red Sox, it would be a completely different story, wouldn't it? The admins try their best to make this place a gimp-free zone, but people like you just keep slipping through the cracks. I'm keeping up with you here, you just fail to stick to the topic at hand. I don't give a flying f*** if he's a starting pitcher, and Papelbon/Ryan are closers. They are pitchers and therefore both qualify for the award of being the Most Valuable Pitcher, or Cy Young Award Winner. I'll stop here, to let it sink in, by asking the question I asked you a couple hours ago: Why do you believe that closers cannot contend for the Cy Young award? No, it wouldn't be a different story. Liriano has started ten games. He's been impressive, but Bronson Arroyo is a prime example of what time can do to you, as it happened to him last year in Boston, and seems to be happening to him again in the National League. Best of luck to both of them, You on the otherhand need to read what is being asked of you, and stop being an argumentitive, name calling buffoon. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's no question about it. That's why I stick to weed. Once you start smoking crack, you're pretty much f***ed for life. Oh, I get it, because I smoke crack. I didn't know Jerry Seinfeld frequented Soxtalk.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, the Reds have longed been rumored to want to trade him. They feel Griffey Jr. is too important to keep around, as he's a great leader in the clubhouse, and gives them instant star power. With him getting closer to some impressive HR records, I don't blame them for keeping him around. The Reds have enough power without Dunn, and if they can load up on pitching prospects for him, they'd be smart to trade him. The Yankees system isn't deep enough, outside of Hughes, to load up on pitching prospects. I should have said trading Dunn to the Yankees is stupid.
