Going to see Jon Garland rip it up tonite at the Cell. Should be fun. Going for win # 70, Jon going for an AL best- win #16, going for our 4th straight win vs the jays this year, looking forward to see Blums debut, and looking for our magic # to at LEAST shrink to 42 tonite.

The ump was a piece of s*** today! Just warn both clubs and move on. Since when can't an opposing pitcher protect their hitters? Its a shaim to have such a great streak snapped by such a clueless umpire. Oh well the most important thing is Mark got the win- we swept their asses & the magic # keeps on shrinking!! YEESSS!!!!!!

someone please explain how the waiver-trades work? they say there are usually never big names in those.

Well they said if we aqcuired Burnett- we would then ship him to Philly for Wagner straight up. Why not skip a step and go straight for Wagner. IMO Philly would be dumb not to accept this. A young solid lefty set-up man and a potential future ace for an aging closer. If i was KW i would do it- since were going for it this year and our rotation is set for 2006 already anyways. Wagner = stud. This could put us over the top people- hold on to your seats!!!!

Huff, Schmidt, and Baez. (We wont get Wagner )

Right now KW has to decide what our biggest priority is. Right now our #1 priority is the bullpen- and it looks like either Baez or Wagner appear to be on KW's wish list. After that his 2nd priority is a hot stick. And to tell you the truth Sweeney makes sense- but Sweeney is the face of that organization and it would take ALOT to bring him over here. So KW will look at other options- Huff, Overbay, Griffey, Kearns, exe... His last priority will be a starting pitcher- do we need Schmidt or Burnett? Can we aqcuire Burnett then trade him for Wagner? It will be interesting in the next 2 days to see what KW does.

Anyone know the contract status of Huff?

2 days left.... I wonder what the hell KW will do.

Maybe KW is forcing Ozzie to show him off? Also Marte has been seeing a lot of action- once again KW wants Ozzie to show him off. 3. KW really wanted Vizquel in the offseason- and he would love to get him now- esspecially with his solid above .300 avg. Pleanty of indications point that this trade will indeed happen. IMO the whole Burnett thing was just to get other teams focus of Schmidt- KW is known to sneak on a trade- and I think this is another one of his sneaky moves... We will find out in 3 days....

We are 12-11 this month. And this WILL be the worst month we will experience in the 2005 season. No need to worry- we will take 3 out of 4 in Baltamore and we will get back to our winning ways. I hope this was a lesson learned for Ozzie. Quit playing all of our B players all the damn time!! I don't care who we are playing. I'm guessing Ozzie was just playing Willie twice so the SF scout can get a good look at him. I expect Contreras (or BMac), Willie and Marte to be traded this weekend- hopefully for Vizquel and Schmidt. Right now it looks like the Orioles and Red Sox will be getting into a bidding war for Burnett.
