We could go crazy and bring in Alex Smith, Kyle Boller and than have them compete with Hanie for the starting nod next season. Hell could even bring in good ole Joey Harrington.

Why would we not go as Jenks? I do think with our bullpen has the chance to be even better next season. What with a healthy Linebrick, Clayton Richard in place of Logan, and a season of Carrasco over Masset. Also assuming healthy I think Dotel could be more effective, he seemingly has been overused this season especially since Linebrick going down.

How about the Diamondbacks tonight, 10 hits and 10 walks and they lose 2-1 to the Reds.

I dont think one villain would be enough in a batman movie, the 2nd one did a very good job at developing both Two Face and Joker so I dont understand why people think it cant be done. I wasnt a big fan of the penguin in the old batman movie but being played by Dustin Hoffman sounds intriguing. Ofcourse Johnny Depp would be perfect for the Riddler.

I think the OC trade was perfectly fine, it gave us a top of the order hitter which we desperately needed. Ask people outside of Chicago and they all think we got the better part of the deal. In hindsight maybe we overpaid for Swisher but I think he has been better than advertised in CF and keeps the clubhouse fun, not too mention great power from a CF. The thing that makes our off-season a winner is Carlos Quentin, Alexi Ramirez, Linebrink, and Dotel. Without those 4 guys we are a much different team, Linebring being shutout in the 8th for first half of season and besides a few blowups Dotel has largely been a great setup guy. I dont really need to say much interms to what Quentin/Ramirez have brought to the team. I just hope that KW does what it takes to keep us competitive next season, I'd definitely be a big fan of bringing in two guys for sure in Beltre and Orlando Hudson but besides that not sure what else KW would have up his sleeve.

To me just seems like a bad idea to face a good opponent your first game. Play a nobody team get rid of all the kinks and than week 2 face the big opponent or whatever.

Well all the defensive players didnt seem too worried about it and I think Tillman was the one who said they were running just a very bland defense. So. assuming thats the truth we will be fully tested in week 1. I do think if we have Dusty out there with Harris that the run defense will improve greatly, anyone but Adams. Also there were a number of plays Payne got horribly beat on that wouldnt happen with Brown. The one good thing is the offense has actually looked a little more solid overall this pre-season. Lloyd and Orton look like they have a solid connection and Bradley has gotten himself open plenty of times. Forte also looks like a solid option in the passing game, I think we have plenty of weapons just need the O-Line to hold up. It does seem neither of our QB's really point out the blitzes which would probably help in that regard.

I do think Anthony Adams should be the 5th DT on the depth chart, so if he is starting Id definitely be pissed. Kevin Payne also was really bad in todays game and I'd rather have McGowan and even Manning before him. I also really hope that we have been running a vanilla defense this pre-season because if not Lovie will be fired at end of season. Offensively while I do love what I've seen from Hanie he has to be 3rd on the depth chart as long as we are still playing for the playoffs, if the season becomes a lost cause than Id love to see Hanie because longterm Orton/Grossman dont seem starting material. Was nice to see some life from Bennet today finally too and Im glad it looks like Booker wont be a starting WR.

Yeah this definitely can be a big boost for the whitesox, not only does it help up for this series but also hurts a team that we would be competing against for the wildcard if twins pass us.

I still have no idea what happened with him. He went from a defensive wiz, a threat to steal anytime, and an emerging bat to horrible in all aspects. I do understand he got caught with the roids or whatever which would explain the declining bat, but not so much him becoming a miserable defense player.

I wouldnt of minded sending Danks and Shelby, I do like that Harrel is going though.

This was a terrible terrible loss. The only good thing that can come out of it is Vazquez pitched great and last time we were embarassed by Tampa the Sox went on fire. All we can hope for now is that Buehrle minimizes the damage tommorow and prepare for a big series in baltimore where we have the extra game.

Well I dont think Dewayne Wise will be back next season, and who knows whats going to happen with Anderson. I definitely think that he could be a very capable 4th OF.
