Didnt the Cardinals just win a WS while winning 83 games in the regular season, who cares if we are the "worse" first place team in the majors record wise... All that matters is we make the post-season and what happens in that post-season.

you knew bad things would happen with how sloppy we have played so far. Now they prob going to score atleast 1 more run as well.

we are seemingly giving up a lot of outs..not good baseball.

we gave up 2 outs in that first inning, hopefully dont repeat that in 2nd.

I was critical of both of them but to want either to be outright released even during their low points is definitely over-reacting. I did have a feeling Swisher would turn it around and was pretty silent on him but Cabrera I have to admit was frustrating until relatively recently. The saving grace for both of them is they were able to get on base via walk still fairly often, especially swisher.

I think some of you are under-rating the Cubs. Without our weak division we would be hovering around .500 so calling them out for playing weak teams isn't fair. That being said I do think we have a better ball club and even though he has had early season success its hard to be scared of Dempster.

I was thinking him being a college player and all we could get Danks in low A ball.

MLB Umpires are paid well to do their job, if they aren't doing a good job why shouldn't we be able to call them out. Part of taking a job that puts you on television and whatnot is that your going to be open to that. If anything, umpires and referees get to much of a free pass when they do a bad job
