  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 01:17 AM) your eyebrows > wites stache Im not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing
  2. I thought the reason he signed for the Cubs is because they let him play his natural position why we wanted him for CF or something.
  3. Ive always been a big fan of Grienke.... its nice to see him do well against someone other than the whitesox.
  4. Id say Danks and Masset. Lets hear it for the duo we got from the Rangers
  5. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) Too many factors to ever "prove" who is best. But a damn good argument can be made for Favre, and that is what really matters. Just being in the top 10 of everyone who has played the position is amazing, when a case can be made for greatest ever, and you look at the other names mentioned, that's pretty cool. I dont think a real case can be made for the greatest ever but definitely top10 if not top5 ever.
  6. If Sanchez, Gomes, or Orlando dont have big years I think they all become non-prospects if that isnt the case already.
  7. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 1, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) You should really change your name to SoxFanlOl I know, for some reason I way overuse that word.... Its part of talking on aim too often I guess?
  8. Lol, I might have been fooled if the same thing didnt happen the past 2 years.
  9. Farmer still sucks... He is worse than Hawk to me by far.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 07:01 PM) I dont feel like doing the research right now, but does Cle have better success against finesse pitchers? As soon as Masset started coming in with hard fastball, hard slider, power curve, they couldnt touch him. I looked up Kenny Rogers for s***s and giggles since he's a soft thrower. 5.12 ERA 1.50 WHIP .286 BAA against Cle To be fair, Cleveland is one of the better teams against left handed pitchers. It might not be so much the fact that Rogers is a soft thrower but moreso he is a lefty.
  11. Wow, even if we dont win this game Im impressed that we came back and tied this game up. Masset ive always liked so glad he came out and pitched very well and the new top of the order is def. showing us what we missed last year.
  12. Just have to hope that the other 7 guys in the lineup can carry Uribe/Crede's slack long enough until both those bums are replaced. Even if it will be a dropoff defensively I really would like to put Alexi at 2B with Anderson in CF.
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 01:04 AM) Has anyone mentioned Mr. Baseball? Good movie. And I highly recommend the book over the movie in "The Natural" No way, Robert Redford isnt in the book so it cant be as good
  14. I really like Cassel and Harrell. Other than that looking forward to what McCulloch and Valido will do.
  15. I went a little crazy and had Stanford winning the whole thing.
  16. I don't exactly understand what the point or what this thread is trying to prove. I've been all over America and I felt racism in the North and South. What really should be compared is the difference between big cities/big towns vs small cities/small towns. Me personally, being half middle eastern, I've noticed and have been uncomfortable in the smaller cities/small towns by obvious racist individuals. I guess the south gets the bias of having more of those small towns etc. but they are everywhere.
  17. I must be a homer but for some reason I expect good/avg years out of Contreras, Floyd, and Danks. I havent even watched a spring training game as of yet and I dont care if he gives up 20 runs in one inning. Isnt it pretty much common knowledge a lot of times pitchers will go in games working heavily on one pitch in which case they are obviously going to get rocked?
  18. Yeah with Legion, Jamar Smith, and another year of growth from McCamey I was thinking the Illini would be better. Plus Meacham and Brock will both be back as well. We will definitely have our ups and downs since it will be a jump shooting team but overall I expect a better season.
  19. I dont know how you can blame todays game on the coaching. He has absolute no talent on this team and the seniors are a bunch of idiots and I cant wait for them to all be gone. Last year we atleast had Carter and McBride.

QUOTE(shipps @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) This might be the most nerdy party idea I ever heard of.This is what happens when you get a bunch of sexually frustrated virgins together. Eh, I think of all my friends who have done it in the past only 2 are virgins lol. One because he is super nerdy and all the other because he is a complete dumbass. The rest of us have gotten plenty of action lol.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 11:51 AM) Tell me how I can play a computer game at my house with 4 other people. Oh wait, you can't. Yeah lan party lol, it isnt as convenient but the good thing is everyone gets their own screen and if 1 person gets bored they have their own computer to do something else.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 01:49 AM) It's still not worth the cost because upgrading will kill you. While a new console comes out every 4/5 years, you've probably got to upgrade computer parts every 2 years. And when you have to upgrade the major parts, you might as well buy a new computer, which will, again, run you about the cost of at least 2 PS3's. I don't disagree that the PC gaming market is impressive, but there's a reason there is a console market and a reason it does well, too. Lol, if you build a good computer to begin with, when you upgrade you will definitely not have to spend 1000 dollars... not too mention nowadays with warehouse prices and all the rebates you can get.... cost has gone down. I like having both though personally, have a 360/wii and a good gaming pc.

QUOTE(vandy125 @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) It definitely costs more than $400-500. Last time I put it one together it was twice that much. Heck a good CPU and motherboard will cost you that. Not even talking about a good video card. They better look better on the PC with those costs. Yeah but you can do a lot more than play video games on a computer lol. So yes, your going to pay more money on a pc than a ps3/360 but if you spend the money its going to be a lot better for gaming and so much more you can do besides games(like post on soxtalk ;p)
