I hate Alex Rios batting stance, looks so uncomfortable

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) Sparse attendance. Fire KW. LoL. The ubiquitous comment about curveballs not biting in the desert air, knew that one was coming. The curve did look pretty flat but his first inning of work I'm not going to worry about it, his fastball looked good and 1-2-3 so hopefully signs of thing for Humber this season.

Humber's fastball when he throws it inside at least looks like has tons of movement.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) No, I haven't been to Wrigley in years. Making fun of the bathrooms at Wrigley is so lame, the jokes got old 100 years ago.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 01:40 AM) LOL so true....I love games where people are actually cool, even though that it rare. Anyways, add me rowdyruss22 if you want. I tend to play as Sona and I know a lot of people like playing with a support char. But seriously, if you don't start off with at least 3 straight kills you get called a noob and people start threatening to report you, even if they are worse that you. I sent an add, my name is "You are fat"

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 4, 2012 -> 02:41 AM) I can't say I agree. This team will live and die with Jay Cutler. I don't see how it is ever a bad thing to improve the wall in front of him. I'd say we have more TALENT on the outside at tackle in Webb, Carimi and Louis if you want to count him. If I had my way, we'd be Carimi/Williams/Spencer/Garza/Louis left to right based on the guys we have right now. But apparently Cutler has a real comfort level with Garza at center. Basically all 5 guys can play more than one position, so it's a matter of who does what best. Nicks would be a valuable asset any way you slice it. I don't think he was saying Nicks wouldn't improve this team but saying we are better at the OG spot with with Spencer/Louis/Williams than WR clearly and if you had to choose the easy option is an upgrade at WR.

2011-2012 NBA Season Thread

Wow this is ridiculous, the guy almost goes out of his way to say things that will draw criticism and now is going on how he is treated unfairly and nobody else is attacked for things they post. Everyone that watches any of the NBA knows Howard >>>> Deng and it's not even up for debate. When SS2k5 posted the things about Jordan everyone called him an idiot and he handled it very poorly, probably to the point that like you said most don't even care what he says in this thread. Steve/Felix are usually taking as much heat as you and if you cant handle it go cry to your parents or someone who cares. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 2, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) I think the Bears need to bring in 3 wideouts. At least one needs to be a good veteran (Hines would not be that). Another needs to be via draft pick. The next could be a draft pick or another veteran, depending on what they do. I think they need to make a big signing, Colston/Jackson or at the very least a guy like Meachem. They also need to spend a 1st or 2nd on a WR and if they do both that I wouldn't mind having a guy like Ward too being our Donald Driver.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 28, 2012 -> 07:37 PM) LOL Between this and the Zimmerman contract I'm dumbfounded. At least one can actually defend the Zimmerman contract. Yeah, I mean Molina is a nice catcher but I can't believe how much he got.... i wouldn't have even been close to that.

QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 27, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) I believe you are correct for those people who grew up with actual books. But for this generation, who will grow up with eReaders and perhaps without newspapers, reading bits and bytes from a computer screen will offer that same experience. I still like a book in my hand. The turning of the pages, etc. Im only 25 and I still feel this way, yeah ebook has its advantages... but nothing beats having the actual book.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2012 -> 04:39 AM) I think you can be a homer without being totally unprofessional and spewing out the same stories and verbage every game. You could make a Hawk soundboard and just use that every game. Hit the corresponding quote with the situation. Hawk crying about umps gets old and he isn't very educational or insightful. I will admit when the White Sox are losing Hawk can be tough on the ears, but when things are going good there isn't a person on the planet I'd rather have announcing the games. I just love having an announcer who is as passionate about the team as the biggest fans.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 26, 2012 -> 12:51 PM) Early reports indicate he'll need Tommy John. I think I'd retire given all he has gone through.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) I watched it and wondered what the hell happened to Carmelo Anthony. He doesn't look anything like the premiere talent he is; his head is all messed up. I watched it and thought, wow, would I trade Deng straight up for Carmelo Anthony given team makeup? The answer wasn't as easy as I once thought it was. I watched it and realized how my hatred of LeBron James is 100% justifiable. I watched LeBron hit a ridiculous, fadeaway shot one step inside the 3-point line (brilliant, by the way, that's just the worst shot in basketball) and hop backwards down the court with a s***-eating grin and nodding his head like he'd just done something amazing. I watched that game and started to really want LeBron James to die. I watched the game and realized the book is already out on Jeremy Lin and his stay as a factor in the NBA is going to be a really short one if he doesn't truly focus on protecting the ball; some of those turnovers you just don't see in the NBA... and he did it multiple times in the same quarter. I watched that game and felt suffocated by the defense the Heat were playing. Two guys running to the ball at all times. I watched the game, and I got even more worried. Weren't you the one giving me s*** for saying that a few weeks back? -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Anybody else play League of Legends? It's my guilty pleasure nerd game. Yes I do, free game is the way to be. Although, I've never played a game with so many b****y people if the slightest thing goes wrong.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:43 PM) PG is like the deepest position in the game. Maybe elite wasn't the right word. But teams that are quick and athletic will expose Lin more times than not. Maybe so, but judging someone playing poorly vs the Heat isn't really fair... plenty of good players struggle vs them. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) Again, he's only seen one top-tier PG and one elite defense to this point. I can't wait until this crap is over and we can get back to Heat, Bulls, Thunder and, um, I don't know who the second best team in the west is. How many top tier PG's and elite defenses are in the league? Can only think of 5 PG's that are top tier and what maybe 4-5 elite defenses in league.... if he does well vs everyone else that still makes him pretty damn good. -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:49 AM) Yeah, not change the format of the series/screw the participants. Reality shows always throw in twists and whatnot, you have to know what your getting into with shows like that.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) People quit reality shows all the time. They forfeit the winnings, obviously, by quitting, but it happens all the time. If one individual quits I can see the show being fine with it but if the whole group of them walk off the set costing the show $$ you'd think there is something they would be able to do to respond.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 02:31 PM) LMAO! It's the Schaumburg Boomers. Replaced the now defunct Schaumburg Flyers. Supposedly the Flyers did a lot of shady stuff.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) TMZ - 'BIGGEST LOSER' CONTESTANTS Throw Weight Around, Threaten to Quit Show There has to be something in their contracts that would f*** them over for walking off the show right?

QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 12:43 PM) We scoffed whenever it was mentioned that Walker was respected around baseball. I think it was time, I believe hitting coaches and pitching coaches receive too much blame *and* too much credit. John Shoop was thought of having a brilliant football mind and an up and coming coach in the NFL as well, just because guys are respected or highly thought of doesn't mean they are good at their job. Obviously Walker can only do so much but outside of being a hard worker I don't think he has shown much.
