QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 04:52 PM) No, I mean not saying anything so he shows up thinking he's going to practice, then gets, 'Go home and wait for our decision.' You want to tell him to his face, fine, just give him or his agent a call and tell him he's not practicing, but you want to see him for a meeting at 2. I'd have no problem with that. Iirc, that's what happened with Tank, and even though I don't believe Tank got a fair shake, I don't have a problem with how they delivered the news. Instead, the Bears didn't say anything -- they just let him show up, I guess to humiliate him -- then told him nothing. Just, go home, we'll send you the press release. Being a real man, there. There are very few people in the world who don't deserve respect, and Cedric Benson, for all that he's done (and not done), hasn't even nearly crossed that line yet. Sorry, didn't realize that's what they did.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) Man Apple sucks. First they get you to spend 600 bucks on a new iphone, and then drop the price 100 bucks within 2 months. Then within roughly a year of being released, they cut the price in half and give you all the features you want, including 3g which should have been included in the first generation iphones. I'd be so f'n pissed if I were someone like my mom who just purchased a brand new 16gb iphone for 500 bucks about 2 weeks ago. Luckily ATT has the 30 day trial period and she can take it back. Unless it's a Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa present, you should always wait until MacWorld and/or WWDC before buying a Mac product. Not that your mom would know that....

Bulls to hire Vinny Del Negro as coach

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) This would have been the worst possible scenario. Jordan is no coach, nor is he a person who can sit behind a desk. He either wants to play, or be a playboy. I agree that the way the dynasty was broken up was terrible, but offering all of the ex players positions isnt the answer. Kenny Williams, Ozzie Guillen, Greg Walker, Joey Cora, Harold Baines and Daryl Boston would disagree. Seriously though, I wouldn't trust Jordan or Pippen with coaching this, or any, team. Jordan isn't interested and has proved he isn't good at personnel. Pippen isn't really a good role model for a young team. King, I don't know enough about, so I'll pass on making a judgment. -
QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Jun 9, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) Anyone say if they called him beforehand? Tried to get in touch with his agent, something? Kind of a s***ty thing to do, if they could've avoided it. You mean telling Benson to his face? That's not s***ty, that's being a man. So what if he flew all the way here. They could've done it over the phone, they could've done it through his agent, but Lovie or whoever, manned up and told him to his face. To me, that's showing respect, which he probably doesn't deserve at this point. Also, Shaun Alexander's downfall is directly related to Steve Hutchinson going to the Vikings. He needs a good line and hopefully, the Bears have improved their line enough that he might be a good pickup. I'd pass on Henry, just because of PR.

QUOTE (The Critic @ May 27, 2008 -> 10:45 AM) Nobody over-acts like The Shat. Caruso is truly horrible, no doubt, but The Shat holds the world record for over-the-top horrendous acting. HA! "The Shat!" Here's the thing...The Shat knows he's overacting and has made a huge comeback based on that fact. He embraces it. Caruso probably thinks he deserves a lifetime Emmy for his crappy work on NYPD Blue.

I know three people who have their own Cornhole sets. Two White Sox and one Cowboys (no accounting for taste). It's a fantastic tailgate game and I love it!

Hey Jim, when do you actually stop counting? I mean, after 40, isn't it a little selfish? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :drink :cheers

What makes it a great show is the possibility of disaster. Every wave, every runaway pot, everyline tossed...you never know if someone will go overboard, get popped in the noggin or caught in the line. Plus, as someone said, it, like Dirty Jobs, is a part of society most people know nothing about. And as for orthodontists and hygenists...how about My Big Redneck Wedding?

Appy-hay irthday-bay! I don't know why pig latin...just trying to be original (and it turned out stupid...I'm so ashamed).

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) Atleast Locklear is hot. Paris doesn't even have that anymore. No...but she has money...which makes her hot. At least while she buys me Seven Jeans and IPhones and stuff.

QUOTE (shipps @ May 22, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) After searching Nell Carter on Yahoo I got tons of results stating that she was a bi-sexual. That actually means that she's so fat...having sex with her is like having sex with two people. ZING!!!

2007 White Sox: They gave up. 2008 White Sox: They don't give up. It's all about attitude. Players like Swish, Cab and Thome are struggling because they are trying too hard. Which is much better than last year when they looked like they were sleep-walking. So, I really don't care about statistics, I care about attitude. And I think this team is going to relax enough later in the season that some of their bats will wake up. Even if some of them could hit .250 for the season...that means they have improved and hit much better later in the season.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 17, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) It's not career ending. It takes way more than a seizure to knock him off his spot as Senator. Like a late night swim at Chappaquiddick?
