QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) Im not being a complete hater and Im not saying shes nasty, but Paris Hilton on this list? That makes it lose all credibility. I see girls everyday walking down the street better looking than her. Nature made her attractive, money made her hot.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 07:00 PM) She was total "hotness" in Transformers. Those first couple of scenes where she gets a ride from Shia...in that short skirt. GOO!!!! If I wasn't in public...well, never mind.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) I've never met a poisonous cougar before. Do you meet cougars often?

Do you think blind taste testers would take a sip of Revolution and say..."Tastes like Deth?" Wait, then again, maybe not. -
QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 09:52 AM) I'm ambivalent. Or maybe indifferent. I'm still not sure which, though it probably doesn't matter. I used to be indecisive...now I'm not so sure. RIP Benny Hill

My first reaction was...WTF?!?! And then I thought about it a little more and I guess it's ok. But like someone else said, it's the grading part that bothers me. I just wonder if the students who start the day in math have to say the pledge in binary?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) With that being said, I have to admit the thought of running has run through my head more than once. I think I have some good ideas and I am very centrist (a little form the left, a little from the right). But, I dont think I am in any way qualified nor do I have the connections or route to do so. Waffling already, eh?

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 08:22 AM) I really needed to get to the 1000 mark because I noticed that even I dont take the comments of those that have less seriously. I'm sorry, what was that? I had 3250 posts in my ears...

NO DOZ for everyone! It's free and you get a good buzz... *Soxtalk does not condone the use of free over the counter drugs for the purpose of acting a fool* -
Again...only one ranking matters. Last...team...standing.

Wow...some of you are HARSH, with a capital ARSH! Look at his OBP...it's low at .319, but that's low because of his BA. He has 10 BB and 14 Ks. That's better than usual. Once he starts hitting, and he will, that OBP is going to go up as well. I know a lot of people would bash players like Pierre who had higher OBPs but only based on a high BA. Well, this is the opposite. Basically what I'm saying is, this team is much more patient at the plate than it has been in previous years (well, last year, at least) and that will eventually translate into hits as the season wears on. Even if he hits only .250, that's a HUUUUGE improvement over a .319 OBP.

QUOTE (Texsox @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 08:14 AM) Pledge Alliegance? Sox Bears? A little, I switch to the Cowboys when I moved Hawks? Still a bit, but love the Stars Bulls? I got the Spurs It's just too much effort to really stay in tune. College? I skip around, but all things being equal I cheer for UT Longhorns, Notre Dame, Rice, Aggies, Tex...your Chicago-ness is slowly drifting away on the South Padre breeze...... And really...Rice? No one cheers for Rice.... My wife went to Rice and can't even cheer for Rice.... -
Stone believes Roberts will be still be traded

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 04:40 PM) Here's my thinking. If Mid May, Juan is still hitting at Juan Uribe levels...that's about when Richar should be finishing up a rehab stint if he's on schedule. If Danny performs well in the minors with the bat, then by June 1, bring him up and at least treat it as a righty/lefty platoon & see what kind of numbers each of them put up. There's certainly no guarantee Danny will be ready to carry the position yet given that the word to describe his performance at every level in the minors has been "Raw", and although I think we're going to have a good enough offense to put up with a Uribe/Richar platoon at the worst at 2nd base, that gives us 2 months before the deadline to decide whether or not we need to upgrade. What about using Alexei if Richar isn't ready yet? -
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 11:04 PM) Sorry Catholics...I had to.

QUOTE (the People's Champ @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) "I could tell my parents hated me. My bath toys were a toaster and a radio." "My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met." this team plays better with a chip on its shoulder...and I really only care about one ranking...the last one.

QUOTE (beck72 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) Fields is worth far more than Roberts-who I think the O's are asking for far too much anyway. Unless the sox can re-sign Crede AND get a very nice return for Josh in season--which isn't likely, they should wait until the offseason to talk Fields deals. Unless Swisher gets hurt, I don't see the big need for Roberts for leadoff, Esp at the high asking price of the O's. Now if the sox were in dire straits, and Swisher went down, then... But I could see Quentin filling in at leadoff for Swisher or Owens. So the sox seem set at leadoff, now that Ozzie has seen a high OBP guy w/ no speed succeed. Let's wait and see closer to the deadline. If the team is faltering with Swisher as lead-off, but still veeerrryyy close to first and Uribe is doing his best Juan Uribe impersonation, then maybe I would say go for him. Otherwise, this sounds like a trade that could hurt more than it helps. Not that Roberts is a bad player, but it seems this could be one of those chemistry trades, where team might feel they don't need the help and kinda quit. i don't know why I have that feeling, but I do. -
How about they mow his stache into the outfield grass?
