  1. IF you think about it, everybody is offended by SOMETHING. So, maybe THX 1138 isn't too far off. We will all wear the same things. Oh, and don't forget about the Naked Co-ed "Whatever" shirts and hats. Leave it up to the parents, not to the school.
  2. anything by Kenny Mayne...this one being a favorite...
  3. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) I still think my favorite video has to be "Smack My b**** Up" by Prodigy. This person goes around stirring up all kinds of trouble, gets into fights, picks up a stripper, takes her home and has sex with her.................then you realize at the very end that it it's a chick doing all of this when the whole time you think it's a dude. Best. Video. Ever.
  4. As Voltaire said, Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean she can't express it. The Wussification of America continues...
  5. Barring injuries to current players, where do you upgrade? Each starter has a role to fill...so maybe bench depth?
  6. Hey Punch...Jurassic had that nice take out slide into 2nd...knocked Scutaro on his ass. That was nice to see not only because they didn't do it last year, but as a little payback for the 6 hitters they hit in this series. Plus, they were close games, if there was a blowout, you know someone on the Sox would've plunked an A.
  7. AFter reading some about Wainwright, I think it's a good hire. He's a Chicago guy, coached in the IHSA. He's bringing a NY recruiting assistant. He's brought success to the schools he's coached. Richmond and UNC-Wilmington were nothing before he got there. Coaches and players seem to respect him. He's not Majerus. He's not Dakich. But that's ok. I think you have a little Self-Weber syndrome. Give it a year or two and DePaul will be pretty good.
  8. Doesn't the batter have the right to the ENTIRE batter's box? Why should a player be penalized for standing off the plate? What if Joe stepped toward the plate? Yes, he did lean into the pitch, but the umps need to find a consistent way to call it. And yeah, why didn't the A's get a warning after 4 HBP, or 3, or 5. Nothing, and no retaliation, either. Ri-GOD DAMN-diculous.
  9. That's fine if they call the ball that hit Crede a ball and not a HBP...but you can't throw him out of the game for being pissed...even if he said something. Warn him...make sure he gets fined...but you can't throw him out of the game. And don't forget, this was the SIXTH hit batsman in the series and I don't think they even warned the A's bench. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) YOU PIECE OF f***ING s*** UMPS NEED TO CHOKE ON A COCK AND DIE YOU HAVE f***ED UP HORRIBLY TWO GAMES IN A ROW GO HOME YOU FAT PIECES OF s*** GO YOU f*** YOURSELVES YOU PRICK ASS DILL HOLE MUNCHING CONDOM HEADS yikes

  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) Chavez grounds out to Widger 2 down Nice pick up and throw by Widger.
  13. QUOTE(frahungski @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) i didn't see this posted elsewhere. at least we made #1 in some sort of rankings...... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...blog/index.html Wow, must be a Yankee fan. What a jag.
  14. Take a walk and get to Rowand, at least.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Dye should be PH for here. Who? Timo? Forget it.
  16. you guys hear that Widge is using an outfielders glove at 3B? Hilarious.
  17. Think the Cubs want him back now!!! Heh, heh.
  18. See, they never should have given up Carlos Lee...he was a 3B in the minors!!! Crede will be the anti-Ripken and do the opposite switch. Widger better get those legs a-movin' cuz the A's are gonna be a-buntin'!
  19. I love that. It's so true. Living in Texas I get that question all the time, Why aren't you a Cub fan? What the hell does THAT mean? Maybe it's because I can't like a team that relishes it's own failures? That it's biggest draw is the park itself? Ich, it makes me angry and happy all at the same time.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) http://www.rgtonline.com/Article.cfm?Artic...tegoryName=News I saw it a couple of weeks ago and it is spectacular. It's right across the street from the Fashion Mall. And it is unlike anything else on the strip. It's not a themed hotel, but it looks and sounds incredible. Of course, I won't be able to afford it, so there you go.
  21. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Why is it assumed they'd want a RP? They also need a SS, 2nd, and OFer. Or we may have something they need for a three way trade. Obviously Perez, Ozuna, Gload, and/or Harris are all available for the right price as one of them will be going anyhow when Frank comes back. Add in a Walker, Borchard, or Adkins and you might just get something pretty decent in return I have a friend who is a huge Cubs fan and saw the Iowa Cubs come down to play the Round Rock Express in AAA. He was saying, other than Ronny Cedeno and Ben Grieve (!), they had nobody in AAA, not even pitching. If we can't get a good major leaguer or close to majors prospect...FORGET IT!!! Also, I believe when the Karchner for Garland deal happened, the Sox weren't doin' so hot, unlike now. Hendry is desperate and reaching for anything.
