I was just thinking about this today. Giambi last year, Magglio, Bonds and Sammy this year. Somethings up...I know Maggs wasn't in Canseco's book or called to testify, but these mysterious illnesses (pre-hernia) made me wonder about steroids and the effect on the body when you are no longer on them. My favorite, despite the screen name, is Mike Squires. He was the reason I watched the Sox. I always asked why lefties couldn't play third or catch, and Mike Squires was the first one in a long time who did both. And well, if I remember correctly. Also, Har-old, Black Jack, Greg Walker, Luzinski, Fisk and Thomas.

The team this year is built on pitching and defense. Now you want to trade away, what many consider to be the best pitching prospect of the spring, for an expensive struggling 3B? I'm all for trading prospects, but some have to be untouchable.
