Nintendo Revolution Specs
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I hope you're right. But is there really a need to lower our expectations in order to blow us away later? I guess I just don't understand why they'd say anything at all. Then you don't understand Nintendo. They have to be top secret about everything, until they think the time is right. e3 2006 is going to be huge for them. Nintendo is already hyping it up 165 days early, when usually the major copanies will take 2 weeks or so to prepare. They should reveal everything there, including the Revolutionary Part of the console.

Mind you this article is based off Gamecube like Developer kits. They'll probably soup up the graphics a little bit.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) All the Scheyer hates have been proven wrong over time. I remember a couple years ago people were saying he wasn't that good for high school. Then he had arguably the best season of anyone last year and won the state title. Now he's going to Duke and people are saying he won't do well there. He is perfect for Duke. He's shown improvement every year. He's taking over more control of GBN this year, but he has shown he can be a great team player like his freshman year when they finished 3rd in state and he was with an all senior starting lineup other than him. I'll wait to make my overall judgments, but he has yet to play in a system in which he wasn't the focus. Every time down the court GBN will make sure the play is set-up for him. And I mean this literally. There will be 4 or 5 picks just to make sure he keeps the ball. You better bet that will not be the case at Duke. He'll have to actually learn how to create his own shot and lock down on defense.

Castillo to the Twins
So Juan Pierre is basically gone now. Lo Duca going to be switching jerseys as well?

Pretty funny poll
The new question is even better: " Who would you rather have setting up Mariono Rivera?" 51% of the country said Gordon, 49% Farnsworth. Anyway the really funny part was the Illinois poll: 76% say Gordon, 24% Farnsworth.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 04:25 AM) I think we are seeing how much Deron had an effect on Dee's game...... But then why was he so terrific his freshman year? This ones on Dee.

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 04:15 AM) He's not moving anywhere. They have no other point guard. Maybe I'm missing something, but Frazier looks awful when I've watched him. I love Frazier's game. Can really work the ball around the court. The media is trying to make him shoot more. He's got one of those glorified shots. I believe that's why he looked like crap tonight. He was caught trying to find himself a shot on too many occasions.

Would not be too worried if you are for Illinois at all. UNC is playing as well as they can. Meanwhile Illinois is playing some of the worst basketball that I have ever seen from Bruce Weber. They should get their act together and win by a decent margin.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) Interesting... This summer you said, IU would struggle to make the tournament. Now you're saying they're the favorite against the #1 team in the country. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=831613 They have played good so far, against crappy teams mind you but they have played good. I like them because their at home and the atmosphere at the Hall is going to be crazy. Duke, on the other hand, may be the most overhyped team this century. I don't think they are deserving of a number 1 ranking at all. I pretty much fully expect IU to win. Also, the 2 points I have made have no direct correlation. Obviously a win against Duke won't hurt their resume, but its still not near enough to get in. They got a whole season to play. They've been prone over the last couple years to winning the big game even if they were just a very poor team, which they certainly have been over the last couple of seasons. They better hope thats not the case tommorow.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) I believe Jones is being paid something like $13 million a season. He's also coming off his best season of his career and would probably worth it.

State at Iowa Can't wait for this. I've got a good feeling about the Big Ten's chances this year with the new expanded field. Despite my thoughts on Big Ten being by far the best conference in the nation this season, I really don't like these match-ups for them, especially with their best ammunition going up against that pathetic Georgia Tech squad. I believe it comes down to that last game, and NC State has been very impressive early.
