How Long Does Obama Get To "Blame it on Bush"?
I get sick of hearing someone blame another person for party for whatever reason. It's your choice to run for president, senate, congress, no matter how "bad" the previous person was, deal with it and make changes as best as possible.
- Happy Birthday WilliamTell!

What movies have actually made you cry?
I didn't see Braveheart on this list, but that movie made me cry at the end. Braveheart Glory The Green Mile Big Fish (mainly because in a way I can relate the father and son to my dad and me with not getting along.) Cool Runnings (tears of happiness and sadness at the same time.) Field of Dreams Remember the Titans Friday Night Lights Finding Forrester Rocky (when Mickey dies and when Apollo dies.) I watched A Walk to Remember and cried with that one as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting some but hopefully I remember.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 9, 2008 -> 03:09 PM) Atlanta was up 34-13 is 1:47 left in the game. Minnesota was down 6 and driving. I guess they did that b/c they cant show any parts of the game after 4:15. Knowing that the Atlanta game would end before the cutoff they decided to go that route. Still stupid. You guys should've gotten the Minnesota game at the end if common sense provailed, it was a good game to watch.

ELECTION NIGHT RESULTS
I'll congratulate Obama, and hope he does a good job as president. Even though I didn't vote for him, America is what is most important, and if he can improve America, then he's gone a good job. I hope he doesn't forget about Iowa being the first to vote for him and set the table for his campaign as president. What I hope I don't hear too much is the race factor when he's president. Yes it's an accomplishment, but I would hope everyone could look at anyone as a person and not with their skin color. Good luck future president Obama, maybe he can prove the 47% who didn't vote for him wrong.

Griffey Jr. not to be re-signed
The big rational part of me agrees with not bringing him back, but the little bit of kid left in me is sad he's no coming back. We already have enough outfielders with Quentin, Swisher, Dye, Anderson, Wise, etc. The fan in me is going to miss a legend play for the Sox. Best of luck Junior!!!!!!!

Whether it's a UFO or not, I'd really like to know what the government knows about UFO's, but that's not going to happen.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 20, 2008 -> 10:33 PM) The Bills are good, but the season isn't even half over yet. Minnesota started out 6-0 a few years back and finished the season 2-8 to end it at .500. I doubt the Bills will play that poorly, but it's still young and they are still a young team. Tennessee looks much scarier than Buffalo does at this point. I've been saying that Tennessee is a great team even before the season started. I've also said a hundred times that it was stupid how writers threw out Tennessee because they didn't improve their wide receiver core in the draft.

Yeah that ref in the LSU game was crazy. Nice hit though.

Next retired number???
How about blank for Shoeless Joe Jackson, I only say that because Ty Cobb has a name in Detroit but no number next to it. Obviously 35 will be retired first.

Rock, Paper, Scissors National Championships
Dynamite sounds better than paper. But I assume you used all 4 instead. I agree with it's stupid how paper covers rock. Dynamite blows up rock, rock smashes scissors, scissors cuts dynamite, that sounds better. What was the hand gesture for dynamite?

haha it was 3rd down for the Colts and the Ravens had a blitz and Manning decided to just go down instead of getting hit. It looked pretty funny but it was a smart move. I didn't get to see too much of the Ravens/Steelers game two weeks ago so this is my first time at watching Flacco since seeing him destroy UNI in the playoffs last year.

Who will regress in 2k9?
I picked Quentin. I don't think he'll have a bad year, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't duplicate this year.

Off-Season Suggestion Thread
Does anyone think the Angels will try to resign Teixeira? Because if they did there's no reason for them to want Konerko. I don't know what Garret Anderson's contract is like, but he's basically Mr. Angel. Hunter just signed a deal last year, Guerrero will still be there. I think Matthews still has a contract going into next year.

Off-Season Suggestion Thread
Let's make it easy, why not just sign C.C. Sabathia, haha. Obviously everyone would love that, but it's probably not going to happen. As for Garland, if the price is right and we get rid of Vazquez I'd be up for it. I'd rather see Thome gone than Dye or Konerko and for some odd reason, I have a feeling we'll see Griffey back if either Dye or Thome is gone. Getting Brian Roberts would be a dream come true and we could move Alexei to shortstop. I don't think we get rid of Swisher because his value will be so low, plus I don't think he will be as bad this next season. I don't mind seeing Uribe and Wise back as long as they aren't starting on a regular basis. 2B/SS, 3B, CF, and 2 SP are the main 5 concerns to me. C Pierzynski 1B Konerko 2B Roberts (dreaming) 3B SS Ramirez LF Swisher CF RF Quinten DH Dye Uribe Anderson Wise Getz Backup Catcher Buehrle Danks Floyd SP SP Jenks Linebrink Thornton Dotel Carrasco RP
