If my boy James Madison wrote it in the Bill of Rights, then it stays in the Bill of Rights. Honestly I don't believe that should be the reason it stays in the Bill of Rights, even though Madison is my favorite person to learn about in U.S. History, but I can see both sides, even though I tend to lean more towards taking it literally.

I'd take the chance of Colon with $10 million less.

I don't remember, was their a "least favorite" White Sox player list, even though doing one would be kind of mean, but you know....

I like the Eagles, but the Philadelphia fans just got a World Series, I hope they don't win a Super Bowl as well. Those fans are jerks a lot of times, none the less I'm going for them in this round. -

Twins owner Carl Pohlad died today, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with the Twins now. -
I just watched that video, hilarious.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 12:32 PM) Squeaking out a division win with a lot of help in the second worst division in football should not have earned the Chargers a home game in that circumstance, but that's another story. Yeah I definately agree with that. I'd like it if they NFL did the playoffs like the NBA does. For instance the last 2 seasons Utah has been the #4 seed and Houston has been the #5, but Houston has gotten the home court advantage because of the better record. I think both Atlanta and Indianapolis should've had home field advantage because of a better record but that's not how they do it. -
Are you sure it's not a friend that's sending you this stuff? Because the last part just screams a friend messing with you.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 07:52 AM) Oh no, now there cannot be a Manning vs Manning Superbowl! What is ESPN to do? Ohhhhh Nooooooooes!!!! It'll give them time to focus solely on the Red Sox and Yankees upcoming seasons. After all, the Red Sox, Yankees, and Cubs are the only baseball teams in Major League Basesball, making it an impressive feat that the Cubs can never get to the World Series even with being the only National League team. Although I've heard talk about this other National League team called the Mets, so who knows. -
This thread will be tough to be in 2009. I've read it a few times and still keep laughing.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 11:20 PM) Meh, I don't really want to change the OT system, but I do think there are times where teams win and it's clearly a matter of luck, and I think kicking a long FG is pretty cheesy. But as far as I'm concerned, if your D can't stop the O, your team didn't deserve to win. It kinda sucked that the defense gave up 3 first downs on penalties as well. That facemask was a killer. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) They didn't happen so it's a moot point. His accuracy was off (59% completion rate, could've been better) but they were in a position to win that game and didn't lose because of him. I already see people, even Colts fans, blaming him for getting sacked on the 1 which is silly. I'm sure if he had tried harder (or, "not choked") he could've blocked that guy. I kind of see it the opposite way of you. I think there will be talk resurfacing about changing the overtime system because Manning didn't get a chance to have the ball based on a simple coin flip. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 10:34 PM) I'm sure that in the great football discussion that takes place across the nation, Peyton Manning will be blamed for the Colts' inability to stop Sproles, as he is always blamed for everything when the Colts lose in the playoffs. He'd deserve to be blamed for 3 or 4 interceptions if the Chargers defense knew how to catch the ball. But he played a good game. It was an awesome game to watch. -
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 06:55 PM) I heard there was a stadium where some baseball team plays there or something. Might want to check that out. oh God no! Not Wrigley Field! haha

Come on now, Metropolis is in the middle of Kansas, it's not New York, haha. I always found that funny how Kansas would have this massive town in the middle of it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) I'm an admitted "leg and butt" guy, so this is kinda cool.... http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/year-ender-t...nominator-21489 Most tennis girls have hot bodies, but for many the face doesn't back it up. Still great to watch in action though.

I ended the year at 195, meaning I gained 2 pounds over the holidays. I still want to get 190, even 185 would be better, which was my high school graduation weight 5 years ago. I'm still pleased I lost 8 pounds over the year, even though I slacked in comparison to many others on soxtalk. Losing 8 pounds is better than gaining 8 pounds I suppose.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 02:21 AM) I still think Cavic got robbed. And I still think the Jazz were robbed in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Championship. I'll always feel that way probably just like you, but it won't change anything, so I've accepted that the Jazz lost to the Bulls, haha. The Bulls were a better team. -
