Picking up Vrabel will help the Chiefs linebackers because this year they are switching to a 3-4 defense.

As a Chiefs fan, I'm extremely happy and somewhat sad. I think Cassel will do a great job as quarterback, but I'm kind of sad that Thigpen won't get a whole year to see what he's capable of. He really improved throughout the year last year.
