  1. 8 runs on 4 hits that inning. Who is team USA, the Minnesota Twins?
  2. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 08:06 PM) I knew ISU would have a letdown and be a victime to NIU's boring offense. Sorry dudes, back to cheering for my alma mater. Are you guys talking about Northern Iowa when you say NIU? It's UNI, not to sound like a jerk, but I've seen it posted on here a few times and it bugs me, haha. Glad to see my school win the conference in football and basketball.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) I f***ing hate UNI. Don't hate us because we're better at football AND basketball compared to Iowa State, haha. Sure UNI lost to ISU in overtime but they've improved a lot over the course of the season. Come on, represent the state, haha. I root for Iowa, Iowa State, UNI, and Drake in playoff/bowl games.
  4. I do just because in 2005 at the Metrodome he gave my friend's girlfriend his number on a signed baseball. For baseball purposes, probably not.
  5. It'd be nice to have him on the team. He could probably play first base or DH a few times too.
  6. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 6, 2009 -> 09:15 AM) Oh dear. Talent wise he is. Name me 15 Wide Receivers who are currently more talented than Terrell Owens. Good luck naming 10 receivers.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 05:38 PM) Yes. Do you think anyone on the 2005 Sox team did steroids/HGH? Ever? Probably. With the 2005 White Sox? I don't think so, but you never know. Will the USA win the World Baseball Classic?
  8. glad I didn't have to see those commercials back in the day.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 02:29 PM) Playing half of his games in that ballpark will hurt his offensive numbers, even if he stays healthy and even with consideration to the fact they have the fans blowing out when Minnesota bats. Sitting out in left center field, you certainly feel more of a draft when the Twins bat. I've had many games to test this hypothesis.
  10. What's the site to see the rest of the league's Over/Under this year?
  11. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) Yes. It will be hard not to. LOL. Will Colon and Contreras open the season as the 4th and 5th starters for the Sox. No, I don't think so. My question is in the post above.
  12. QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) Yes. Has Notre Dame's bubble finally burst? Yes, but it looks like whitesoxbrian has them going to the final four, unless he means another ND. Will Ozzie Guillen have Twitter by the end of the season?
  13. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) Yes Will Jay Cutler be traded? Yes Will Lance Armstrong win the Tour De France?
  14. No idea how long I will be on here. Either until I lose interest or the site shuts down. Or maybe until I die whenever that is.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 04:16 PM) At least he didn't go to the Twins. I was thinking that too, but it would've been nice to have him out of the division.
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 09:19 AM) You crazy. The only place Brady can go from this point is down when it comes to ladies. I mean, he left smokin hot Bridget Moynihan for Gisele. Does KW pull off a surprise trade or signing before ST ends? No. But at the same time I wouldn't be surprised with a surprise. Will the NCAA men's basketball champion come from the Big East this year?
  17. As a Republican, in a way it seems like a break because I don't have to defend anything and everything. I'm going to give Obama a lot longer of a window span than just a month though.
  18. Great comeback Chicago. But Artest? Are you kidding me? Pass the ball on that last possession. Terrible.
  19. That's terrible. "Good morning Americans, it's Friday" is the slogan I will always remember from him.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) So Bomar would have led them to a title but Bradford couldn't? If all the Chiefs gave up was a 2nd for Vrabel and Cassell, I like what they did. Now, they could go Curry at 3 to boost their LB's, or take Crabtree and get another weapon + Bowe + Gonzalez for Cassell. However, I could see the Chiefs getting a 4th and an early 3rd for LJ and Gonzalez now. When I first heard the trade, I figured it was going to be Gonzalez and their 3rd for Cassell and their 2nd. I kind of wondered if the Patriots hadn't signed Fred Taylor if they would've asked for Larry Johnson instead of the 34th pick.
  21. QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 02:15 PM) I'm actually surprised that the Chiefs did this. They have so many holes that they will use a top 2nd round pick on a position that they already have a capable young player at. I guess it all depends on what they can get for Thigpen. I dont think I would have done this if I was KC. It's hard to know where to start for the holes on Kansas City but I'd start with defensive and offensive line as the first two problems. They ended up having the fewest sacks in NFL history I think. And the offensive line has Brian Waters and that's about it. The quarterback situation is debatable with Scott Pioli as the new GM, he was firmiliar with Matt Cassel back at New England. It might also be possible that Todd Haley wanted a quarterback similar to his former job with Arizona. Getting Vrabel and Cassel for the 34th pick in the draft is a toss up, but at least both players are proven to be successful in the NFL. Picking up Vrabel will help the Chiefs linebackers because this year they are switching to a 3-4 defense.
  22. As a Chiefs fan, I'm extremely happy and somewhat sad. I think Cassel will do a great job as quarterback, but I'm kind of sad that Thigpen won't get a whole year to see what he's capable of. He really improved throughout the year last year.
