  1. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 06:03 PM) I would much rather have Dye at DH next year than Thome Me too.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:35 PM) PLEASE ORLANDO CABRERA, DO NOT GET HURT FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS! lol same with Vazquez.
  3. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:32 PM) I'm not even upset right now. The White Sox were a good team this year, but not a great one. We are lucky to get this far, and a divisional championship is something to be proud of. It's not like we were a 100 win team with a great rotation and lights out pen. This simply isn't our year. Anyone else feel the same? I'm upset because White Sox baseball is over and I love baseball season, especially in April, May, and June. Otherwise I'm proud of this team, they exceeded my expectations, but I'll just be sad to see their season over.
  4. We should have an outfield of Bonds, Griffey, and Sheffield next year with Thome as the DH. lol we'd give up like 8 runs a game with that outfield.
  5. Who would you rather have back next year? Thome or Griffey
  6. might've been Griffey's last at bat as a White Sox.
  7. thanks for giving them that run blue. you're my boy blue.
  8. That TBS strike zone is messed up too. No way was it that high out of the zone.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:07 PM) How is Figgins' FP and range at 3rd? Since when did this organization care about defense? haha
  10. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) What are the odds that old rumor of Roberts to the Scrubs comes back next year? He probably has a better chance to go their than here, just how the Cubs are it seems.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:02 PM) Mine is Roberts 2B and Beltre at 3B. Agree on Alexei and Swisher/Konerko. I wouldn't mind Beltre but I'd rather have Figgins to put at the top of the lineup. Figgins and Roberts batting 1 and 2 would be awesome.
  12. QUOTE (MAX @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:52 PM) I think that as soon as you say someone shouldn't voice their opinion you are bound to run into a heap of contradictions. To me it sounds like some cross town rival in high school football having their freshman quarterback saying the game is a bye week, it wouldn't hold very well with your upper classmen.
  13. QUOTE (MAX @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:46 PM) Yet the hoi polloi of message boards are free to spout off like they know something? like players would take a message board seriously if they were to read it, most of them would laugh.
  14. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:42 PM) f***ing makes me sick that a rookie opens his mouth and says that about us. I can only wish that our hitters grow some lead balls the rest of this game. no kidding, any rookie or player with out much experience should keep their mouth shut.
  15. Just got back from work, this is almost worst case scenario for me to join in. I don't know if we can score 4 runs in 4 innings while holding them with nothing.
  16. I never liked the trade from the beginning, but I rooted for him, and still will as long as he's with the Sox. If I was there I wouldn't have booed him, but I can understand why he is getting booed. The guy can't be effective in a big game. I remember earlier this year he got the 6th or 7th with a no hitter, might've been a perfect game at the time and we lost after he gave up a monsterous inning. When the pressure gets to him, he doesn't perform.
