  1. Why aren't ironing boards wider? I would like to lay my whole shirt down to iron instead of doing it in 8 sections.
  2. Let me know when Giada comes to the Cell
  3. QUOTE(Wanne @ Sep 24, 2007 -> 05:43 PM) MLB umps are just a little too big for their britches for my tastes. I agree. What do you think is gonna happen when you call Milton Bradley a piece of s***?
  4. Which sites do you recommend? I can't find this information on Yahoo or Google Finance, Morningstar does chart EPS, but only annual data.
  5. He only has two pitches, and neither of them is offspeed. I know he was working on developing the change-up, but I don't think that materialized as planned.
  6. Is there any website that provides quarterly earnings in chart/graph format?

    Stupid, Hilarious Videos

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) How do you post it so that the video shows up here and you don't need to follow the link? Man...I wish I was older in the 70's. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 02:43 PM) Nope...didn't help.
  8. I love how Fields and Thome shake hands at the plate after a home run
  9. Even though Floyd met the minimum requirements for the quality start, I thought this was the crispest his stuff was since that Detroit start where he shut them down. He topped out at 94 on the fastball and it had some nice late movement. The command with the curve wasn't great, but it rarely hung and half his Ks were on it. Even a nice change today. To be honest I thought three of the pitches that the first 4 Royals got hits on were good pitches. Gload's was a curve well below the zone. Dejesus and Butler both had soft hits on outside fastballs. The curve to Grudz was a definite hanger.

    Josh Fields

Fields has trouble with fastballs anywhere between the middle and the top of the strike zone (not just inside). This is because he drops his hands noticeably when loading his swing. Watch any video of him where the camera is pointed to the batter's box from the first-base side and you will see it. It's too hard for him to get his hands back up in time to hit major league fastballs in the top-half of the zone. He'll either have to shorten that dip in his hands or start cheating to catch up to these pitches. On the other hand this tendancy helps him hit the breaking ball because A: his hands are staying back and B: breaking balls usually enter the lower-half of the zone.

You could go to Cantera 30 in Warrenville, but that's not much closer than the Northside edit: assuming you live in Palos Heights
  13. I don't think it's random. Check out this kid's posts on another forum. http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/search.php?searchid=482755 If what he says is true, he definitely has good reason for the camera (attacked by drunk officer, police making death threats on him). I can't say he isn't hoping for encounters like the one in the video, he may be trying to expose them.

I really like this band and that is great cover art
  15. Yeah the video is in two parts on YouTube, but I embedded the first part of the video in my first post of this thread in case you missed it.
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 16, 2007 -> 10:23 AM) --Here is my question in reading this and seeing the tape - are we seeing the whole thing? Just curious. I haven't seen the part of the tape where the encounter actually started. Has anyone seen it? Have we heard how the conversation actually began? I don't understand what you mean. When the kid first turns right you can see him pass the cop car. Then he turns left into the parking lot and the cop follows him in and turns on the lights. The cop walks up to his window and starts the conversation by saying "How we doing? What's going on?". Then the kid gets a little smart and the cop goes berserk.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 12, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) King of Kong is one of the better documentaries I have ever seen. It's a movie about some of the biggest nerds on the face of the planet yet it keeps you entertained the whole way through. What an awesome movie. I'm genuinely pissed after just heading to Twin Galaxies to see who has the world record..
  19. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 14, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) I used to look like a pot smoking hippie. Now I just have long hair. Wite I think you kinda look like Eric Byrnes
