I am watching this game on MLB.tv, and a couple breaks ago the MLB.tv commercial screen was up during pitching change. Then the Sox broadcast comes back in, and all I hear is this: Hawk: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm DJ: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Hawk: I luuuuuuuuuv custard and then MLB.tv promptly went back to the commercial screen.

Their interface makes it really simple to search through all leagues in the minors in any statistical category. Just for kicks, I searched through the AL/NL too. And it looks like I made a mistake, Egbert is actually slightly ahead of Beckett and 4th in FIP for all of pro ball.

Only 1 earned for Egbert. Eggy is top 5 for ALL of professional baseball in fielding independent pitching, trailing only such names as Beckett and Peavy.

Taking a look at his two homers last night, his swing is very similar to that of ARod's. He almost hits down through the ball and puts massive backspin on it. Probably a lock for NL player of the week with 5 homers.
